Manchester United medical team confirms that Eric Bailly will miss the rest of the season.
Manchester United have confirmed that Eric Bailly has suffered a knee injury and will miss the rest of the season, and unfortunately the Africa Cup of Nations.
Making his first appearance since March 6, the 25-year-old was forced off during the second half of the Premier League match at Old Trafford as the Red Devils were held to a 1-1 draw.
After the game, united boss “Ole Gunnar Solskjaer” said: "He will be out for the rest of the season, I don't think we will see him again before next season."
The club confirmed the Ivory Coast defender will miss the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt, which runs from June 21 to July 19.
The Ivorians are in a group with South Africa, Morocco and Namibia in the 24-team tournament, and last won the title in 2015 when they beat Ghana in the final.
