Leaked: Liverpool’s 2020-21 Season Home, Away, and 3rd Kits

After nearly 5 years of partnership with "New Balance", Liverpool Football has recently announced a deal worth of 39.5 million per year with Nike reportedly. Therefore, with the beginning of 2020-21 season, Nike will become the official kit manufacturer for Liverpool.

The 2019-20 season finished with the Reds being crowned as

the Premier League

champions.

On 25 June 2020, Manchester City lost 2–1 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, and as the result Liverpool became the champions, marking their first league title in thirty years, and their first of the Premier League era.

Founded in 1892, the club joined the Football League the following year and has played at Anfield since its formation.

Liverpool established itself as a major force in English and European football in the 1970s and 1980s, when Bill Shankly, Bob Paisley, Joe Fagan and Kenny Dalglish led the club to a combined eleven League titles and four European Cups.

So far

Liverpool

has been one the most supported and successful teams.

For much of Liverpool's history its home colours have been all red, but when the club was founded its kit was more like the contemporary Everton kit.

The blue and white quartered shirts were used until 1894, when the club adopted the city's colour of red. The city's symbol of the liver bird was adopted as the club's badge in 1901, although it was not incorporated into the kit until 1955.

Liverpool continued to wear red shirts and white shorts until 1964, when manager Bill Shankly decided to change to an all red strip.[56] Liverpool played in all red for the first time against Anderlecht, as Ian St. John recalled in his autobiography.

their kit certainly plays a big part in their rich history as the team’s managing director and chief commercial officer, Billy Hogan has mentioned.

“We welcome Nike into the LFC family as our new official kit supplier and expect them to be an incredible partner for the club, both at home and globally as we continue to expand our fan base.”

“As a brand, Nike reflects our ambitions for growth, and we look forward to working with them to bring fans new and exciting products.”

“We’d like to thank New Balance for their support over the last few years and wish them well for the future”

Liverpool’s deal with New Balance expires in May 2020. Under the terms of this deal, New Balance was entitled to renew its’ sponsorship if it matched the terms of the offers made by rival kit manufacturers;

nevertheless, the company could not match what Nike can offer in marketing the club’s kits.

This will be the first time in Liverpool’s history that the club comes to an agreement with Nike to supply their kits.

Therefore, the new deal brings up the important question to Liverpool fans that how do Liverpool’s 2020-21 season kits look like.  Time to take a look at the rumors and leaked news.

Liverpool 2020-21 kits

Let's take a look at the team's new jersey in 2020-21

Liverpool’s 2020-21 Season Home Kits

According to the leaked news on Footy Headlines, the color of Liverpool’s home kits will remain red. The club will continue using the relatively dark red;

however, there are speculations about two possible shades of red. The color of the logos and Liverpool’s crest is still unknown.

Liverpool’s 2020-21 Season Away Kits

Based on the leaked news, the new Liverpool away kit, designed by Nike, will be made in hyper turquoise.

The color shown in the pictures in Footy Headlines evokes an aesthetic pleasure, and seems completely capable of differentiating Nike from what New Balance has produced in recent years.

In fact, this blue/green color is unprecedented in the history of the club’s kits.

Liverpool’s 2020-21 Season 3rd Kits

Finally, the leaked pictures of Liverpool’s 3rd kit contend that Nike has chosen to go with dark grey.

Unlike the away shirts, the color of the 3rd kits is familiar to Liverpool fans, as similar colors have been used by Reebok, Adidas, and New Balance for Liverpool’s alternative kits in the past.
