Alderweireld hopes to remain Tottenham player

Toby Alderweireld says he hopes to play for Tottenham this season as the clock ticks down on his transfer condition.

The £25m discharge statement in his Spurs arrangement terminates this Thursday and the Belgian has been important to Roma.

Be that as it may, in the wake of being made captain for Spurs' 3-2 friendly win over Juventus, he stated: "Yes ( At present I hope to  be a Tottenham player toward the beginning of the season).

"That is my concentration in football. Everything can go snappy yet everything I'm doing is concentrating on Spurs and being fit for the beginning of the season.

"I think the director realizes I am focused on the club and the team, however you never know in football. Against Juventus I was captain - so demonstrates the manager has trust in me and I'm demonstrating the correct mentality.

"Once more, it can occur yet my attention is on Spurs and in my mind I will play for Spurs.

"I attempt to convey the job I have to do - I'm glad and that is it. I attempt to return fit. Obviously, everybody has had a decent holiday yet like against Juventus we showed, we are in there we need to be right now."
