Will

LeBron James

be able to keep his throne? Will Giannis Antetokounmpo add the title of MVP to his resume? Could Luka Doncic, a 22-year-old Serbian, catch up to them all? The NBA season of 2021-22 is rapidly approaching.

It appears like the league is entering a new age, with some of its best stars aging out and new players taking over. We've previously covered the most important details about each superstar, which You can read by referring to the links at the end of the article. Here are the top 10

NBA rankings players

. The first name on the list of the top 10 NBA players to enter the 2021-22 season is Jrue Holiday.

Jrue Holiday

  • Born

    : June 12, 1990 (age 31)

  • Birthplace

    : Los Angeles, California

  • Nationality

    : American

  • Listed height:

    6 ft 3 in (1.91 m)

  • Listed weight:

    205 lb (93 kg)

Can Holiday become the first guard since Gary Payton in 1995-96 to win the NBA Defensive Player of the Year award? According to our research, Holiday has the sixth-best odds and can capitalize on the Bucks' championship run.

Jrue Holiday was named in the All-Defensive first team after finishing in the top ten in deflections and loose balls recovered last season. Last season, Holiday joined the Bucks as the team's final core member to help them go over the hump and into the playoffs.

With his third All-Defensive team selection and numerous game-changing efforts in the postseason, he proved that he was one of the top defensive players in the league. The Bucks won their first title in 50 years thanks to his timely offense and leadership. The next name on the list of the

top 10 NBA players to enter the 2021-22 season

is James Harden.

James Harden

  • Born

    : August 26, 1989 (age 32)

  • Birthplace

    : Los Angeles, California

  • Nationality:

    American

  • Listed height:

    6 ft 5 in (1.96 m)

  • Listed weight

    : 220 lb (100 kg)

Harden can be considered one of the best scorers in NBA history, as his career true shooting % (.611) ranks fifth among the league's top 50 scorers, but his elite passing skills are much more crucial to the Nets.

Since former Houston Rockets head coach Mike D'Antoni made him a full-time point guard five seasons ago, Harden has averaged 9.1 assists per game, including 10.9 in his first partial season with the Nets.

When he's on the court with fellow Hall of Famers Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant, Harden can focus on playmaking. Injuries limited that trio to just 202 minutes together during the regular season, despite a 119.6 minutes per 100 possessions average.

That doesn't seem maintainable, especially considering Brooklyn's Big Three lineups had a 135.4 offensive rating in 130 minutes of playoff action. let's continue to see who is the next name on the list of the top 10 NBA players to enter the 2021-22 season? The next name is Trae Young.

Trae Young

  • Born

    : September 19, 1998 (age 23)

  • Birth place:

    Lubbock, Texas

  • Nationality

    : American

  • Listed height:

    6 ft 1 in (1.85 m)

  • Listed weight:

    180 lb (82 kg)

Young is one of the league's most promising young players, but the big question is whether he has another gear, and can he click into it this season? Shooting efficiency and turnovers are the most important factors. Young shot 34.3 percent from the 3-point range last season (and 31.3 percent in the postseason) and led the league in turnovers. If he can improve in those areas, he'll be an MVP candidate for Atlanta right away.

Instead, Young made one of the best postseason debuts in recent memory, guiding the Hawks to the conference finals with 28.8 PPG and 9.5 APG and firmly establishing himself as a star. The next name on the list of the top 10 NBA players to enter the 2021-22 season is Bradley Beal.

Bradley Beal

  • Born

    : June 28, 1993 (age 28)

  • Birthplace

    : St. Louis, Missouri

  • Nationality

    : American

  • Listed height:

    6 ft 3 in (1.91 m)

  • Listed weight:

    210 lb (95 kg)

Bradley Emmanuel Beal is a professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Washington Wizards.

Bradley Beal averaged at least 30 points per game for the second consecutive season. Beal is poised to score a ton of points again, despite being beaten out for the scoring crown by Stephen Curry.

The Wizards traded Russell Westbrook and surrounded Beal with a new supporting cast of Spencer Dinwiddie, Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. But this is Beal's team, and he'll have to score like the greatest in the league if the Wizards are to have a chance to make the playoffs again. Despite having a season that was very similar to his 2019-20, Beal went up 11 spots.

After Beal sat through the 2020 restart with Washington woefully out of the play-in race, it definitely helped that the Wizards made the playoffs. Beal's perseverance in overcoming a hamstring issue was crucial to the Wizards' success. Join us to learn more about the

. The next name on the list is Khris Middleton.

Khris Middleton

  • Born

    : August 12, 1991 (age 30)

  • Birthplace

    : Charleston, South Carolina

  • Nationality

    : American

  • Listed height:

    6 ft 7 in (2.01 m)

  • Listed weight:

    222 lb (101 kg)

Giannis Antetokounmpo's effect on the Bucks has gotten a lot of attention, which is understandable. During Milwaukee's run to the NBA title, though, the world saw how crucial Middleton is to the team's success.

Despite his nickname, "Money," he isn't flashy, but he is silky smooth, and his ability to go shot for shot with the league's top players in key situations is a big reason why Milwaukee won its first championship in half a century.

It's also why the Bucks have a good chance of repeating their success from last season. Middleton not only scored more than 20 points per game for the third time in four seasons, but he also improved significantly as a playmaker, with a career-high 5.4 assists per game.

He was the Bucks' undisputed closer, coming up big in crucial situations many times throughout the playoffs. The next name on the list of the

top 10 NBA players to enter the 2021-22 season

is

Stephen Curry

.

Stephen Curry

  • Born

    : March 14, 1988 (age 33)

  • Birthplace

    : Akron, Ohio

  • Nationality

    : American

  • Listed height:

    6 ft 3 in (1.91 m)

  • Listed weight:

    185 lb (84 kg)

Curry and the Warriors believe they can return to the top of the Western Conference if he has another MVP-like season and Klay Thompson returns to form, regardless of what happened this season. Curry, as is customary, has no bounds. Is Curry capable of returning to his MVP form? Last season, the two-time MVP topped the league in scoring with 32.0 points per game.

Aside from Curry's brilliance, he did everything for a Warriors team that was missing Klay Thompson and struggled to establish the consistent offense. Curry feels he can extend his career a little further, but he'll be 34 in March and has kept mostly healthy other from a rare tailbone injury. Even with Thompson due to return, Curry will need another big season if the Warriors are to return to the top of the Western Conference.

Curry is widely considered as the greatest shooter of all time by many of his teammates and former teammates. He has a career of 33.3 percent 3-point shooting percentage and last season shot 48.2 percent from the field.

If he puts it up, there's a good chance it'll go in, and his sheer presence on the court lends gravitas to his teammates' performances. Curry is only 141 3-pointers behind Ray Allen for the top spot on the all-time list heading into the season. Curry is on pace to surpass Allen before the All-Star break, having made 337 three-pointers last season.

The next name on the list of the

top 10 NBA players to enter the 2021-22 season

 is

Luka Doncic

.

Luka Doncic

  • Born

    : February 28, 1999 (age 22)

  • Birthplace

    : Ljubljana, Slovenia

  • Nationality

    : Slovenian

  • Listed height:

    6 ft 7 in (2.01 m)

  • Listed weight:

    230 lb (104 kg)

Doncic has already established himself as one of the NBA's finest players at the age of 22. He's earned a first-team All-NBA pick each of the previous two seasons, an accomplishment that only Kevin Durant has done since the ABA-NBA merger at such a young age.

It appears that the only question is when — and how many times — Doncic will be named MVP. According to our research, In the last two MVP voting, he came in fourth and sixth, respectively. One distinction Doncic doesn't want: He has the most career postseason points (436) of any player without a series victory.

Can Doncic lead the Mavericks to a postseason berth? It would be unfair to hold Doncic responsible for the Mavs' failure to advance past the first round, given that he has averaged 33.5 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 9.5 assists per game in two first-round losses to the Clippers.

However, Doncic slowed down in the fourth quarter of last season's series, shooting 34.9 percent from the field and committing nearly as many turnovers (9) as assists (12) in the last seven games. The Mavs attempted to add another playmaker this offseason in part because of his exorbitant usage rate (40.4 percent, the highest in the playoffs). Last season, Doncic established himself as the NBA's most dominant playmaker.

According to our research, Doncic topped the league in points off drives (804) and was third in assists (150). In those circumstances, he shot 59.2 percent from the field, tied for second with Giannis Antetokounmpo among the 48 players with at least 600 drives.

Doncic isn't a spectacular leaper, but his uncommon mix of size, power, and knowledge make him an excellent finisher — and he's mastered a pivot into a one-legged fadeaway for those times when he can't get all the way to the basket. Doncic should have more driving lanes this season thanks to the Mavs' offseason additions of shooters.

By his 23rd birthday on Feb. 28, Doncic is likely to be among the top ten all-time triple-double scorers. Doncic has 36 triple-doubles this season (plus three more in the playoffs), tying him with Fat Lever for 10th most in NBA history. (With two triple-doubles under his belt before turning 23, Doncic is only two shies of Oscar Robertson.)

In 17 of those triple-doubles, Doncic has scored at least 30 points. According to our research, Only seven players have as many as seven 30-point triple-doubles: Robertson, Russell Westbrook, LeBron James, James Harden, Wilt Chamberlain, Larry Bird, and Magic Johnson. let's continue to see who is the next name on the list of the top 10 NBA players to enter the 2021-22 season? The next name is LeBron James.

LeBron James

  • Born

    : December 30, 1984 (age 36)

  • Birthplace

    : Akron, Ohio

  • Nationality

    : American

  • Listed height:

    6 ft 9 in (2.06 m)

  • Listed weight:

    250 lb (113 kg)

Since arriving in Los Angeles, James has suffered a severe injury in two of the last three seasons, sabotaging his and the Lakers' chances. On the other, James came in second place in MVP voting and led the Lakers to the NBA title. In 2021-22, will it be triumph or tribulation?

Will James be able to help a Lakers team with ten new faces gel into a championship squad right away? James already has four titles under his belt and has established himself as one of the all-time greats in the game, but a ring at the age of 37 would undoubtedly help him in his pursuit for worldwide GOAT recognition.

Last season, James made a career-high 2.3 3-pointers per game and shot 36.5 percent from outside the arc, giving him his fourth-most accurate season from long range. It'll be fascinating to see if James' aim can benefit from the types of looks he usually creates for others now that Russell Westbrook has been added to the mix as another playmaker.

James is only 1,562 points away from passing Karl Malone for second place on the NBA's all-time scoring list this season. If James maintains his 25-point per-game average from last season and plays in every game, he will pass Malone in the 63rd game of the season. The next name on the list of the top 10 NBA players to enter the 2021-22 season is Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Giannis Antetokounmpo

  • Born

    : December 6, 1994 (age 26)

  • Birthplace

    : Athens, Greece

  • Nationality

    : Greek

  • Listed height:

    6 ft 11 in (2.11 m)

  • Listed weight:

    242 lb (110 kg)

What can you do to top Antetokounmpo's incredible NBA Finals-winning effort from last year? The simple solution is to repeat. The actual solution — and one that should be terrifying to the rest of the NBA — is for Antetokounmpo to work on the few aspects of his game that he can still improve.

He's still only 26 years old, so Antetokounmpo's prime years are likely still ahead of him. He'll go in with the assurance of a two-time MVP and NBA champion. Antetokounmpo's 50-point performance in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, which sealed his first championship and named him Finals MVP, will go down in history.

The 50-piece Chik Fil-A he purchased thereafter will be remembered forever on social media. But it was Game 6's 17-for-19 free-throw shooting performance that really stood out. During the Finals, Giannis was so unstoppable that fouling him and forcing him to make free throws (he only made 54 percent of them in the three away games) appeared like the best method to stop him.

Giannis has a career free throw percentage of 71.7 percent, but it has dropped to 63.3 percent in 2019-20 and 68.5 percent last season. In a single postseason, Antetokounmpo became the first player to average 20 points and shoot 65 percent in the paint.

He was more dangerous in the points in the Finals, shooting 75%. Simply put, once he's inside, he's nearly impossible to stop. However, if he works on his back-to-the-basket post plays as LeBron James did at a similar point in his career, he can improve there as well.

After passing Glenn Robinson last season, Antetokounmpo is already second on the Bucks' all-time scoring list. This year, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (14,211 points as a Buck) is in the mix.

To become Milwaukee's all-time leading scorer, Antetokounmpo (12,319 points) needs 1,892 points this season. Over the last four seasons, he has averaged 1,895 points. The last name on the list of the

top 10 NBA players to enter the 2021-22 season

is Kevin Durant.

Kevin Durant

  • Born

    : September 29, 1988 (age 33)

  • Birthplace

    : Washington, D.C

  • Nationality

    : American

  • Listed height:

    6 ft 10 in (2.08 m)

  • Listed weight:

    240 lb (109 kg)

While NBA events are susceptible to hyperbole, there's a solid case to be made for the championship coming down to Durant's toe in 2021. That game-winning turnaround jumper against the Bucks in Game 7 — the tremendous left-foot pivot and lightning-quick rise-and-release over P.J. Tucker is legendary — was almost on the list of NBA's greatest shots.

Instead, it was the longest 2-pointer in NBA history, capping off an unbelievable playoff series, that confirmed Durant's full return from a broken Achilles. Then, by the way, he wreaked havoc at the Olympics, leading the Americans to victory. Yeah, 2021-22, be on the lookout.

Durant's game is nearly untouchable, so the real question is whether or not everyone will stay on the court. During the truncated season, Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden all had moderate injuries, which, when combined with Irving's leave of absence, the Spencer Dinwiddie injury, and the transition after the Harden trade, made last season a disaster for Brooklyn.

It's easy to see why the Nets are the preseason title favorites if they can remove even half of those situations. In these times, it's probably absurd to claim that someone is the "best" at anything, so let's stay away from that folly.

Let's just put it this way: Durant is one of the

best NBA players of all time

, and his height, release, and accuracy make him one of the most unstoppable players in history. It's astonishing that Durant doesn't shoot every time he comes down the floor, because it would nearly always be regarded as a good shot regardless of the circumstances.

Last season, the Nets did everything they could to keep Durant safe; he played the fewest minutes per game during the regular season and missing a few back-to-backs. The instinct will be to protect Durant, even more, this season, with the team deeper after signing a slew of veterans.

It's possible that the inactive list is the only thing that can stop him. As the year progresses, it will be interesting to see how this affects the MVP race. And finally, thank you for joining us for reading the NBA rankings players for the 2021- 22 season. We hope you enjoy this article.
