Now that we know what we are going to read let's start to dig into the

best goals of the year 2020

!

San Jose Earthquakes vs Toronto 2-2 Oswaldo Alanis

Let's start  the

Best Goals of the year 2020

right here. On Saturday afternoon of 30 April 2020, the San Jose Earthquakes drew 2-2 with Toronto FC, the defending Eastern Conference winners, at Earthquakes Stadium. Oswaldo Alans, a Quakes center defender making his MLS debut, had an assist and then scored a stunning straight free-kick five minutes into stoppage time to give San Jose a point.

Thanks to the goal, San Jose came back from a 2-0 deficit with goals from Andy Rios and Alans to complete the comeback. The interesting fact about the whole game is that Oswaldo's goal was the first direct free-kick since Marvin Chavez scored a direct free kick on May 18, 2013.

Midtjylland vs Sonderjyske 3-0 Paulinho

The game between Midtjylland and Sonderjyske was one of those games with high tension thanks to both team's history with each other. Midtjylland's first goal was scored by A.Mabil with an assist from Evander; the team's second goal was scored by Paulinho which was a super-duper amazing goal and their third goal was scored by R.Schwartz who ended the game for good.

Fulham vs Aston Villa 2-1 Harry Arter

Let's get into this one for this part of

Greatest Football Goals of 2020

. By the time of the match, Harry Arter hadn't scored any goal since November 2017, and he hadn't felt any kind of success since joining Fulham on loan from Bournemouth in August. All this non-scoring thing for 3 years made all people disappointed in him.

So, when he came in in the 72nd minute to replace Kevin McDonald for the first time since a calf injury in mid-October, there was little hope he could prevent the conclusion no one wanted. However, In less than 120 seconds he received Stefan Johansen’s pass, and boom! One of the most important and beautiful goals of his life. This goal was so important for the team that changed everyone's idea about Harry.

Atalanta vs Valencia 4-1 Remo Freuler

In this match, Atalanta defeated Valencia 4-1 in the opening leg of the Champions League round of 16, putting the Italian club on the verge of a quarter-final berth in its debut season in the competition. Thanks to Hans Hateboer's two goals and the amazing goal that Freuler scored in the game, they really nailed it!

Freuler is mostly known as a center midfielder who plays for both his club and his country. He is regarded as one of the most capable and flexible players who can recover the ball, tackle well, and pass with a wide range. Due to his excellent footballing intellect, Il Giorno journalist Fabrizio Carcano referred to him as "the director of the orchestra."

Parana vs Bahia de Feira 3-2 Alex Cazumba

Parana vs Bahia de Feira was one of those intensive games of 2020. Both teams had their history and wanted to win the game but that's not how football works. When we talk about football we should consider the fact that we can't foretell anything cause everything can change at the last minute.

The game between Parana and Bahia de Feira is an example of this. For 80 straight minutes, Bahia de Feira had the beat of the game in their hands thanks to Alex Cazumba's amazing goal in the 69th minute. However, just after the 90th minute, Parana scored three goals! So, obviously won the game.

Barnsley vs Huddersfield Town 2-1 Lewis O'Brien

Barnsley's Alex Mowatt and Conor Chaplin scored either side of half-time to put the hosts two up before Town's hopes were revived by Lewis O'Brien's thundering second-half goal. Despite a late equalizer bid, the hosts claimed the Derby Day victory and all three Sky Bet Championship points.

Danny Cowley's Terriers were back in league action after making three changes to the starting XI that faced Southampton in the Emirates FA Cup last weekend; Kamil Grabara, Karlan Grant, and Elias Kachunga all returned. Let's get into next goal in our

Best Goals 2020

list

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Espanola 4-0 Ruben Neves

In the Europa League, Ruben Neves scored a spectacular shot from outside the area and strengthened Wolverhampton's win against Espanola. The 22-year-old, who became famous for his long-range attempts, doubled Wolves' advantage only seven minutes after half-time after Diogo Jota had opened the scoring early on.

Since joining Wolves from FC Porto in 2017, Neves has scored 15 goals, 12 of which have come from outside the box. According to the club's official website, head coach Nuno Espirito Santo praised the goal as "wonderful," while Neves, a transfer target for Liverpool FC, stated he was merely "glad for the squad."

Spurs vs Man.City 2-0 Steven Bergwijn

After Oleksandr Zinchenko received two yellow cards, City was down to ten men, before Spurs and the Netherlands national team winger Steven Charles Bergwijn magnificent chest down everything was finished for the team but right after the amazing goal, the whole team fired up and scored another goal.

Spurs scored their second when Heung-Min Son's low attempt from the outside rebounded off Fernandinho's foot and went past Ederson, all after City controlled the first half before further VAR controversy. Spurs and the Netherlands national team winger Steven Charles Bergwijn.

Argentina U23 vs Columbia U23 2-1 Agustin URZI

CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament, the Final stage was for sure full of events. The game between Argentina U23 vs Columbia U23 was one of those games of the tournament that made everyone keep their breath. The game was ending as a draw. However, Agustin URZI's goal saved the team. This Argentine player is known for his speed and ball-handling and is currently playing for the Banfield.

Liverpool vs Everton 1-0 Curtis Jones

Curtis Jones' thunderbolt handed Everton one of their most devastating derby defeats as a young Liverpool advanced to the FA Cup fourth round with a 1-0 win at Anfield. Jones, 18, won the third-round encounter for Liverpool with a stunning whipped drive that cannoned in off the underside of the Everton crossbar on 71 minutes.

In a dominating first-half showing, a near-first-choice Everton seemed ready to profit on Jurgen Klopp's nine pre-match alterations, peppering the Liverpool goal and forcing three superb stops from goalkeeper Adrian. Everton's search for their first Anfield victory since 1999 came to an excruciating new low as Jones scored a spectacular first goal in professional football to punish their squandering.

For those who don't know Curtis very well, he is a strong midfielder who can play in all midfield positions. his creativity gives him the option to use his position as a midfielder for different tasks. Jones also has excellent offensive talent, capable of scoring goals with technique and efficiency.

His first goal against Everton is similar to Wayne Rooney's 29th, 30th, and 31st goals as a Liverpudlian attacking midfielder and star of the Toffees and English football. However, the young Scouser is most often likened to Steven Gerrard, both for his background and for his midfield profile with remarkable capability.

Atalanta vs Valencia 4-1 Josip Ilicic

Valencia was able to put together a solid performance from its offensive with three goals on a night when the Spanish team was forced to play the home leg of its round of 16 match against Atalanta without its faithful supporters due to worries about the coronavirus.

There were just two flaws in the performance: Valencia was behind 4-1 on aggregate going into the second leg, and Atalanta's ferocious assault did not wane between the two games. The Italians went on to score four goals of their own, all of which were scored by Josip Ilicic, to win 4-3 in Spain.

The first half should have solidified the win for the Serie A squad. Two avoidable penalties from Mouctar Diakhaby gave Atalanta's Ilicic two chances to score from the spot, and he converted them both. Only a goal from Kevin Gameiro stopped some amount of the bleeding, but Valencia still found themselves behind 2-1 at the half.

Whatever Albert Celades' halftime message was, it seemed to re-energize the Spanish team, at least for a short period. Gameiro and Ferran Torres both score two fast goals to bring their team's scoring mountain down to size. For a brief period, it was reasonable to speculate that the strain had begun to obscure Atalanta's capacity to respond. But that was immediately dispelled as Ilicic scored his hat_trick just three minutes after Valencia scored their third goal.

Amiens vs Paris saint-Germain 4-4 Gael Kakuta

In a thrilling Ligue one match, as struggling Amiens had an incredible start, Serhou Guirassy, Gael Kakuta, and Fousseni Diabate all scored goals inside the first 40 minutes. PSG, despite missing Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, and Pablo Sarabia, rallied to reach the brink of a historic triumph.

When Ander Herrera scored his first PSG goal right before halftime, they equaled a Ligue one record by scoring in 32 consecutive away games. In all the amazing goals of the match, Kakuta's goal seemed so outstanding that everyone started talking about it. Let's go for the next goal in Sportmob's Best goals of the year 2020

Borussia Dortmund vs Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 Erling Braut Haland

Erling Braut Haaland extended his outstanding scoring record in the 2020 season by scoring two more goals to put Borussia Dortmund ahead of Paris St-Germain in their Champions League last-16 encounter. With two second-half goals, the 19-year-old Norwegian demonstrated two sides of his remarkable game: the first, a predatory finish after Raphael Guerreiro's effort was blocked, and the second, a left-footed thunderbolt from 20 yards.

Neymar momentarily brought the visitors level between the Haaland goals, sliding in a low Kylian Mbappe cross on his comeback after four matches out with a rib injury. But Haaland outshone him, giving the Germans the win their excellent performance merited and a little advantage to carry to the Parc des Princes for the second leg on March 11th 2020.

Napoli vs Barcelona 1-1 Dries Mertens

Barcelona was beaten to a 1-1 draw by Napoli in Italy, putting their Champions League Round of 16 ties in jeopardy. Dries Mertens curled home a stunning finish past Marc-André ter Stegen against the flow of play to give the Serie A side the lead against the run of play.

Barcelona, on the other hand, controlled possession and leveled the score thanks to Antoine Griezmann's conversion of Nelson Semedo's low cross. Due to the away goal, Barcelona will be the favorites to advance to the quarterfinals when the teams meet again at Camp Nou.

Valencia vs Real Madrid 1-3 Luka Modric

Real Madrid advanced to the Spanish Super Cup final with a 3-1 victory against Valencia in Saudi Arabia. Toni Kroos scored immediately off a corner for Los Blancos, before Isco increased Madrid's lead in the first half.

Luka Modric then put the tie out of reach with his team's third goal of the evening at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah just after the hour mark. Valencia's Daniel Parejo scored an injury-time consolation goal, and Zinedine Zidane's side will play the winner of Barcelona's and Atletico Madrid's last-four encounter on Thursday.

When the two teams played in the league earlier this season, Valencia was only denied victory by Karim Benzema's stoppage-time equalizer. When Modric collected Luka Jovic's pass and curled the ball into the bottom corner with the outside of his right foot, he put the game out of reach for Valencia.

In injury time, Sergio Ramos was penalized for handball, and Parejo made no mistake from the spot to equalize for Valencia. But it was Madrid's night, and they will have an additional day to rest before the final on Sunday, which will also be held at the King Abdullah Sports City.

Arsenal vs Olympiacos 1-2 Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

This one of the interesting goals in Greatest Football Goals of 2020; When Aubameyang's stunning scissor-kick, which canceled out Pape Abou Cisse's opener, put them in the driving seat with seven minutes left in extra time, it appeared as he had once again saved his team from an awful performance.

But Youssef El Arabi poked home in front of their boisterous traveling fans to punish poor set-piece defense for the second time on the night. And there was still time for Aubameyang, who was unmarked, to spin wide from five yards out and hand Mikel Arteta's side their first loss of the year.

A full-strength Arsenal XI was frustrated, frustrating, and weak in front of goal for long stretches of a boring game, with their first attempt on target coming in the 77th minute. Olympiakos were far from daring in their approach, especially after losing the first leg in Athens, but they executed their gameplan flawlessly to grab a historic victory and go to the last 16.

Brighton Hove Albion vs Chelsea 1-1 Alireza Jahanbakhsh

In the 84th minute, the Iranian replacement, who scored his first goal for the club on Saturday, pulled the home crowd to its feet with a strike that may be a candidate for goal of the month. "I had a sense I might have an influence on the game as I was going to go on," he told Match of the Day. "I just attempted to smash the ball as hard as I could when I spotted it, and the bicycle kick was my only choice." I'm going to go back and watch it again.

Brighton's attacking threat was mostly neutralized by Chelsea's defense, however, they did create the clearest opportunities, both of which were stopped by keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga's brilliance. The Spaniard denied Aaron Connolly with a one-handed save and then stopped Neal Maupay's low shot with his feet. Chelsea's lead over Manchester United in fifth place has grown to five points ahead of the latter's trip to Arsenal. Brighton are 14th, with a goal difference advantage over Burnley.

Bayern Munich vs Lyon 3-0 Serge Gnabry

Lyon had a good start, but they missed two golden chances to grab the lead. Hans-Dieter Flick's men, on the other hand, quickly proved that they can take control of the game. When cutting in from the right side,

Serge Gnabry

pushed his way into a stunning opening before snatching a second after Robert Lewandowski was denied by Anthony Lopes.

After halftime, Garcia's side continued to threaten, but Bayern halted their record of four consecutive semi-final defeats in this tournament when Lewandowski headed home his 15th of the season from Joshua Kimmich's late free-kick.

UEFA Technical Observer Cosmin Contra said: Gnabry is the winner of this game because he scored two goals and created more scoring chances. He also performed admirably in defensive situations.

Wolves vs Manchester United 1-1 Ruben Neves

Neves is a defensive midfielder who is not hesitant to move forward and initiate attacks, displaying excellent maturity as well as accurate passing ability, remarkable vision, and an insightful sense of placement.

For his outstanding first touch, comparable drive to push his opponents, and excellent distribution, his playing characteristics have earned him parallels to Portuguese international colleague Joo Moutinho.

Ruben Neves

received media accolades for his technical, tactical, and mental abilities, as well as his intellect and long-range shooting skill. In the game against Manchester United he was the one who scored the draw and brought back the hope.

LeverKusen vs Borussia Dortmund 4-3 Emre Can

Leverkusen scored two late goals to grab an unexpected victory at BayArena, denying Borussia Dortmund the chance to become joint-top of the Bundesliga. Kevin Volland scored twice in the first half, while Mats Hummels and Emre Can scored in the second. Considering everything, it was Can's magnificent, curling attempt gave Lucien Favre's side the lead only for Volland to net his second of the game soon before halftime to restore parity.

Crystal Palace vs West Ham 2-1 Jordan Ayew

The first half of this game was a real battle, with defenses coming out on top. However, the second half was considerably more open, with West Ham breaking the deadlock when Robert Snodgrass slotted home.

Crystal Palace's comeback was on as Cheikhou Kouyate leveled things up before a stunning solo strike from Ayew on the stroke of 90 minutes clinched the three points.

Finally the game ended in Crystal Palace's winless run and moved them up to ninth place, while West Ham who had an extended break ahead of the Boxing Day match due to a postponed fixture against Liverpool dropped to 17th after their third defeat in five Premier League games added to manager Manuel Pellegrini's pressure.

Borussia Dortmund vs Bayern Munich 0-1 Joshua Kimmich

That specefic Der Klassiker match-up had been hailed as a championship decider, because only four points could've separated the two top clubs coming into the game, but it was Bayern who proved their league-winning credentials to eliminate their closest rivals.

It was an intense match from the start in an almost deserted Signal Iduna Park, but

Kimmich's

stunning floating chip in the 43rd minute sealed the tie and, most certainly, the title.

AC Milan vs Juventus 4-2 Adrien Rabiot

Rabiot was considered as a talented player in his youth. He is a tall, powerful, and graceful left-footed midfielder who blends superb technique with remarkable physical characteristics.

He is known for being mobile, hardworking, and quick in possession, as well as for his ability to make late attacking runs off the ball into the penalty box, courtesy of his intelligent movement; he is also a composed passer with good link-up play and dribbling skills in close spaces, allowing him to create chances for teammates.

In the game against AC Milan, the first half ended fruitless but two minutes after the second half started, Rabiot scored one the best goals in 2020. However the game ended in 4-2 and AC Milan won.

Newcastle vs Manchester City 2-2 Kevin De Bruyne

The guests took the lead midway through the first half due to Raheem Sterling's well-taken attempt, the forward's 15th goal of another fruitful season, only for Jetro Willems' low drive to bring Newcastle level immediately.

Kevin De Bruyne's exquisite volley then appeared to win it for City with just eight minutes remaining, but former Liverpool midfielder Shelvey equalized late on.

Flamengo vs Ceara SC 3-0 Giorgian de Arrascaeta

Flamengo began to show interest in de Arrascaeta during the 2019 preseason and on 8 January, the deal was finalized for a record R$63 million, the largest move in Brazilian football history. On January 12, he was revealed as a new player, earning Flamengo's largest transfer price paid at the moment, and signing a five-year contract.

However, the price was obviously paid back cause he is one of the best scorers on the team. In the game against Ceara, he took to the air to send a perfect overhead kick sailing over the goalkeeper and under the crossbar and scored a goal for his team.

Dundalk vs Shamrock Rovers Jordan Flores

Jordan Flores scored one of the finest goals in 2020 on a night at Tallaght Stadium. The Dundalk midfielder equalized for Dundalk with a shot from the edge of the penalty box that Paul Scholes or Zinedine Zidane would have been proud of.

Both teams put on an exciting first half in what was a wonderful advertisement for Irish domestic football. However, After 20 minutes, the home team capitalized on continuous pressure and took the lead through Dylan Watts.

Tigers vs Pumas UNAM 3-0 Andre-Pierre Gignac

Pumas lost 3-0 at Tigres on a hat-trick by Andre-Pierre Gignac, their poorest game of 2020 maybe. The game-changing moment came when Pumas was down a player after giving away a penalty kick shortly before halftime when the score was 0-0.

Red Bull Salzburg vs SK Rapid Wien 2-7 Zlatko Junuzovic

Corner goals were clearly in vogue at FIFA headquarters 2020 and Junuzovic's first-time screamer in the Austrian Bundesliga game with Salzburg another great example; a goal that should be in Best Goals 2020 list. Junuzovic's performance in the game was outstanding and the game ended in 2-7 result

Mamelodi Sundowns vs Cape Town City 1-1 Hlompho Kekana

It's difficult to imagine a football being hit harder than this 40-yard piledriver from Kekana, a defensive midfielder by profession, in a South African Premier League match in 2020. The game was a bit harsh but this defender managed to score the equalizer. Let's finish Best Goals of the year 2020 in next part of this article.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Burnley 5-0 Son Heung-Min

This one goal is one of the Greatest Football Goals of 2020. Son shoot 78 yards across the pitch after scooping up the ball on the edge of his own box, pushing past half of the Burnley squad before clipping a cool finish past goalkeeper Nick Pope. This goal was so amazing that most people think its one of the best goals in history!
