In 2003 the footballer joinedBarcelona
's youth academy while he was nine years old. In 2005 he made his way to the U-13 team and on 2 March 2011, Deulofeu made his senior debut in a 4-1 away victory over Córdoba in Segunda Division. From 2009 until 2011 the Catalan played for the Spanish under-17 team as they finished runner-ups at the 2010 UEFA European Championship. In 2011 he was included in the under 19s squad. The Spanish side managed to win two consecutive European Championships and Deulofeu was selected best player in the 2012 edition. Over the years the couple bonded really well and their romance flourished.
