is a professional player who is currently playing as a midfielder for Chelsea Football club and Morocco National team. Over the past two seasons, Hakim Ziyech has proven himself to be among the most talented attacking midfielders in the football world.

A graduate of Heerenveen academy, Ziyech made a name for himself after impressing with Ajax Amsterdam during his four season spell at the club. He had a very good start to his professional career, first at Heerenveen and later at Twente. Ziyech joined Ajax Amsterdam in 2014 and went on to win many domestic titles with the team. Impressing with Heerenveen and Twente

Ziyech started his professional career when he was promoted to Heerenveen first team in 2012. His debut In October of the same year in the first leg of the third qualifying round of the Europa League, against Rapid București.

Ziyech had a very troubled childhood, partly because of his high temper and partly because the sudden death of his father. Ziyech's father died of sickness when he was only 10 years old and the responsibility of securing all the 8 children fell on his mother shoulders.

“I remember well, it was winter, just after Christmas. My father was in a bed in the living room. He’d been sick for some time, getting worse and worse. The death of his father had a very deep impact on his life. For a brief period He quitted school and football altogether. This was also the case for some of his other siblings as one of his brothers and another one of his relatives were caught and sentenced to prison for robbery.

Ziyech soon resumed playing football but he never pursued education again. It was not easy for him at the beginning and he faced some disciplinary punishments for coming late to training and causing tension in the dressing room.

But things turned for the better for Ziyech when he passed his teenage years as he was taken under the protective wings of Aziz Doufikar, the first Moroccan professional footballer to play in the Eredivisie. Doufikar became a father figure for Hakim and with the improvement came more financial rewards and Ziyech was able to overcome the tragic death of his father and help his family as well.
