Mason Greenwood took his first steps as a footballer at Bradford's Idle Juniors academy at the age of six. He impressed his coaches' right from the start. According to his coaches at the time, He was so good that they had no choice but to play him with boys much older than himself.

Greenwood's ability to score freely was apparent from the early stages of his amateur career. In one of his most famous games at the academy, Greenwood scored all of his team's 16 goals.

The young forward rose through Manchester United's academy ranks and was at the top of his game when he reached the U-18 team. Mason Greenwood started his professional career at the 2018-19 season with Manchester United's first team. He made his debut as a substitute in Manchester's

Soon after that he scored against Aston villa, which made him the fourth player aged below 19 to score in three consecutive Premier League appearances. Francis Jeffers was the last player with such a feat when he did it for Everton in 1999.

In total, Mason Greenwood contributed a lot to Manchester United's quest of a UCL spot, with 17 goals and 4 assists in 37 games across all competitions. A tally which was even more impressive than Cristiano Ronaldo's first season at Old Trafford.
