Frenkie de Jong childhood

Frenkie De Jong's father, born in 1997 to a sports-loving family, played amateur football for ASV Arkel, while his mother was an involved footballer as well. The sports origins of his parents are not unrelated to his grandfather, who also played amateur football.

Frenkie played football for ASV Arkel as a young child. His curiosity and the ability that a young boy like him possessed made him admired by many parents at the club.Frenkie's enviable talents had already attracted the eye of scouts as early as he was at the age of 5, who wanted to take the talented young player away from his local club.

Frenkie's father thought that his son was old enough to play professional football at the age of 7 and so brought him to

Willem II

for trials, and Feyenoord, a club his parents were ardent fans of.

It was very easy for Frenkie to pass all courts, as a young boy who has amazing football talent, who was made to pick aside. By selecting Willem II, the young Frenkie de Jong shocked his parents.

The club coaches worked incredibly hard to help develop Frenkie, who had incredible promise, as soon as he joined the Willem II youth system in 2004 at the tender age of 7. Willem II mastered much of his new style of play. Frenkie de jong profile

in 2015, De Jong started his professional career with Willem II. A year back, he moved to AFC Ajax for a fee worth €1. The fee was symbolic and a sell-on clause offset it. Afterwinning a domestic double and making the Champions League semi-finals, he established himself at Ajax as one of the best young midfielders in Europe.

In a breakthrough 2018-19 season, De Jong won the Eredivisie and KNVB Cup was the Eredivisie player of the season and was an integral part of Ajax's first semi-final appearance in the European Cup in 22 years. After that, he transfers to Barcelona now and we are waiting to see what will happen in the future.

Style of play

He might become, with his talent, a Xavi or an Iniesta at his age. De Jong, a versatile player, can serve as a regista, defensive midfielder, central midfielder, midfielder keeping, midfielder box-to-box, and back center.

Frenkie has described himself as a player "who likes to have the ball a lot, and play possession." For his mixture of defensive versatility and playmaking ability, he has been praised. At center-back, at Ajax, he mostly collaborated with Matthijs de Light.

He abstained from committing fouls as a center back, displayed excellent positional sense, and regularly earned possession. His performances led to a contract with the former German sweeper Franz Beckenbauer in this more defensive position and contrasted his ability to advance in possession and play-making, from safety to German legend.

"We saw the other day that De Jong was a footballer who could have marked an era in Barcelona. He is able to dominate the game, he sees it easily and doesn't lose the ball. He also makes sacrifices to work defensively.

"I think they are top-level players, very good for Barca." His other characteristics are a talent for deep cross-field throws, space formation, and offensive pressure absorption. Comparisons with

Andres Iniesta

and Johan Cruyff were drawn by his near control, precision, work rate, and movement. In Barcelona, he played mostly on either side of the central three-man midfield.

This has led to analysts and former players calling him a "Barça DNA" player who was "born to play for Barcelona."

Reception

Frenkie De Jong got a standing ovation for his brilliant performance from Eibar fans,”The superb play of Frenkie de Jong for Barcelona got an incredibly warm welcome from Eibar fans when they cheered him when he was subbed off.”

Goal celebration

Gini Wijnaldum and Frenkie de Jong combine to deliver a potent message of anti-racism with an objective celebration. With a 5-0 victory over Estonia in their final Euro 2020 qualifier, Holland delivered a clear message to the rest of the continent.

However, with one of their goal celebrations, Georginio Wijnaldum and Frenkie de Jong delivered a much better message to the larger football community. He raced to the sidelines with his Barcelona counterpart after the Liverpool midfielder scored early and the two men held their arms side-by-side and pointed at their skin.
