The Minnesota Wild National Hockey League team has taken the state’s hockey to the next level.

It was founded in 2000 and has played a significant role in earning Minnesota the nickname ‘the state of hockey.’ This team plays its games at the Xcel Energy Center.

Minnesota Lynx

This is a professional basketball team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It plays in the Women’s National Basketball Association. Minnesota Lynx won the WNBA title in 2017, 2015, 2013, and 2011.

 It was founded in 1999 and is owned by the Minnesota Timberwolves. This franchise is home to plenty of high-quality players. They include Maya Moore, Lindsay Whalen, and Katie Smith.

Minnesota United FC is an American soccer club based in Minnesota. The team plays in the Major League Soccer in the Western Conference. It started playing in 2017 as the 22

club in the league.

Minnesota United FC’s home games were played at the TCF Bank Stadium for the first two seasons in MLS. It started playing in Saint Paul in 2019.

Minnesota Timberwolves

This is one of the most famous professional basketball teams in Minnesota. It competes in the National Basketball Association and is a member of the Western Conference Northwest Division.

Glen Taylor owns the team and it was founded in 1983. It has been playing its home games at Target Center since 1990.

Even though the Timberwolves started as a struggling team, it has grown significantly since then. It acquired Kevin Garnett in 1995 and since then, it qualified for the consecutive seasons from 1997 to 2004.
