Fekir had a big influence on Lyon's rise from the ashes as the club finally came out of PSG's shadow and established itself as one of the favorites to win the Ligue 1 title. He was chosen as Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year in the 2014–15 season and made the UNFP Ligue 1 Team of the Year in two seasons. (2014–15 and 2017–18).

Fekir ended his career at Lyon at the beginning of 20-21 season and opted to join Real Betis, despite strong interest from many European giants.

Sidney Govou (77 goals in 412 games)

Gomis joined Lyon in 2009 after six seasons with Saint Etienne. Gomis was a constant threat for the opposition defense. His best game at Lyon was probably against Dinamo Zagreb in the last round of the 2011–12 UEFA Champions League. In the game Gomis scored four goals and set a new record for the fastest UCL hat-trick ever scored, beating the record previously owned by Mike Newell.

Overall, Gomis scored 95 goals in 244 games across all competitions for Lyon and won two titles. The charismatic goalscorer left Lyon in the summer of 2014 and continued his career at Swansea.

Bernard Lacombe started his professional career at Lyon in 1969 and spent a total of 9 seasons at th club. During his time at Lyon he played 230 games and scored 128 goals to become the third Lyon top scorers of all time.

Lacombe was a key member of the Lyon side which won the 

Coupe de France

 1972-73 and the Champions' Trophy in 1973. Lacombe had a successful career with France national team and represented his country at the 1978 World Cup. He later won the 1984 European Championship with France.

Lacome left Lyon in 1978 and after an unsuccessful season with Saint Etienne, ended up winning 8 more titles with Boudreaux.

Alexandre Lacazette (129 goals in 275 games)

The French prolific goal scorer started his career as winger but later was moved to the offensive line because of his finishing skills. He won two titles with the team including the Coupe de France in 2011-12.

Overall, Lacazette scored 129 goals in 279 games for Lyon across all competition. He was chosen as the Ligue 1 player of the season in 2014-15, the same season he won the best scorer award with 27 goals in 33 games.

Chiesa signed for Lyon in 1969 and stayed with the club for the following 14 seasons. He was often compared with three time Ballon d'Or winner, Michel Platini.
