Gregory Coupet is the only goalkeeper in the list of Lyon Legends of all time. The legendary shot stopper arrived at Lyon in 1997 after five seasons with Saint-Etienne. Coupet spent 10 seasons with the club and played 370 games.
Coupet was the team's first choice goalkeeper in every one of their seven Ligue 1 winning seasons from 2001 to 2008. In total Coupet won 15 trophies with Lyon and was named Ligue 1 Goalkeeper of the Year in four seasons.
Coupet's most memorable moment in Lyon was arguably his double save against Barcelona during an 2001–02 UEFA Champions League match, when he first acrobatically headed an unintended lob by a defender to his own crossbar, and then miraculously saved a close header by Barcelona's striker Rivaldo.

Few football fans know that former France national team coach, Raymond Domenech was one of the Greatest Players in the History of Lyon. Domenech started his playing career in 1969 with Lyon and stayed with the club for the next 8 years.
During his time at Lyon, Domenech played 246 games and scored 7 goals as a defender. He won many trophies with the team and later managed Lyon for five seasons. He left Lyon in 1977 to play for Strasburg.

Djorkaeff left Lyon in 1966 and went on to play for PSG and Marseille. At international level, Djorkaeff played 48 games for France between 1964 and 1972, scoring 3 goals. He represented his country at the 1966 FIFA World Cup.

Born in Casablanca, Morocco, Serge Chiesa was a gifted attacking midfielder most famous for his dribbling skills. He was often compared the France's legendary former player, Michel Platini.
Definitely one of the best Lyon players of all time, Chiesa signed for Lyon in 1969 and stayed with his beloved club for the next fourteen years.
Serge Chiesa is the all-time record holder for appearance in the history of Lyon with 541 games. He was also an excellent goal scorer with 134 goals registered to his name during his time at Lyon. He helped Lyon to win Coupe de France in 1972-73, one of the first titles in the history of the club.

Nabil Fekir is now considered among the best offensive players in the football world. He made a name for himself in Lyon after giving high quality performances in each of his six seasons at Lyon. In total Kallstrom made 283 appearances for the club, winning two Ligue 1 titles, two Coupes de France and two Trophees des Champions. Kallstrom left Lyon in 2012 after six seasons with the club. He also had a very successful career with Sweden national team and scored 16 goals in 131 games. He is Sweden's fourth most capped player.

Known for his famous lion roar celebration and goal scoring streaks at Al-Hilal, Bafetimbi Gomis made a name for himself in Ligue 1 and became one of the Best Lyon Players ever. Gomis joined Lyon in 2009 after six impressive seasons at Saint Etienne.
Gomis's most memorable game at Lyon was against Dinamo Zagreb in the last round of the 2011–12 UEFA Champions League group stage, in which he scored four goals and also created a new record for the fastest Champions League hat-trick ever scored, beating the record owned by Mike Newell.

Before joining Arsenal in 2017, Alexandre Lacazette spent seven years at Ligue 1 and became one of the Best Lyon Players of all time. After impressing at the youth level of Lyon's academy, Lacazette started his professional career at Lyon in 2010.
Lacazette started as winger but later was moved to the offensive line because of his finishing skills. In total he played 279 games for Lyon across all competitions and scored 129 goals. He won two titles with the team including the Coupe de France in 2011-12. He was chosen as the Ligue 1 player of the season in 2014-15, the same season he won the best scorer award with 27 goals in 33 games.
The famous Brazilian forward arrived at Lyon in 1999 after two seasons with FC Barcelona. He was a very important attacking figure as Lyon won the first two of seven consecutive Ligue 1 titles.
Anderson stayed at Lyon for four seasons before going back to Spain to play for Villareal. In total, Anderson scored 92 goals in 159 games for Lyon. He won the Ligue 1 Top Scorer award in 1995–96, 1999–2000 and 2000–01.
