Born in September 1920, Silvestre Iago first joined Valencia in 1941 and stayed at the club for the next nine seasons. During his successful spell at Valencia, Iago scored 81 goals in 168 matches.

In his first official game for the club he contributed one goal in a 4–0 win at Bursaspor in the Champions' League group stage. Few months later, Soldado scored all of Valencia's four goals in a 4–2 away win against former club Getafe.

Soldado finished his first season in Valencia as joint-fourth top scorer as Valencia finished third and qualified to the Champions League.

Gorostiza was a Spanish forward in the early decades of football. Born in 1909, he played for only two clubs during his career: Athletic Bilbao and Valencia. Gorostiza was a member of Spain national team and played in the 1934 FIFA World Cup.

Gorostiza made his La Liga debut on December 1929 against Real Madrid. He scored a combined 37 league goals in his first two seasons with Bilbao. Guillermo Gorostiza joined Valencia in 1940 and played for six season. His best season with Valencia was the 1942-43 season in which he scored 26 games in 32 appearances.

The Brazilian free-scoring machine started his career at Fluminense and went on to become the club's all-time top goal scorer with 319 goals in 403 matches. In 1961 Waldo moved to Valencia, to replace his compatriot Walter Marciano who had just died at the age of 29 in a car accident.

Waldo made his debut for Valencia in September 1961, in a 0–3 away loss against Real Zaragoza. He scored his first brace for the club six days later, in a 3–0 home win over Real Oviedo. On 19 November 1961, Waldo scored four goals in a 6–2 home rout of FC Barcelona and finished his first season abroad with 14 goals from 30 appearances.

In his first game as a Valencia player, an Intertoto Cup match against Gent, Villa scored the first goal in as Valencia won 2–0. He made his league debut coming on as a substitute against Real Betis in a 1–0 win in August of the same year. Villa's first season at Valencia was a success as he netted 25 goals in 30 matches and was only one goal short of winning the Pichichi award.

Nicknamed El Matador, Kempes was unstoppable in the 1977-78 season. He scored 39 goals in 43 appearances went on to win the 1978 World Cup with Argentina as the competition's top scorer.

Born in January 1916, Edmundo Suarez is the all-time top scorer in the history of Valencia. He played as a center-forward for Spanish club Valencia CF for most of his career, except for his last season, where he played for Alcoyano.

Edmundo Suarez is considered a hero for Valencia fans since he holds the record for the highest number of league goals scored for the team. During his football career he won the Spanish top goal scoring award twice. Suarez is also the tenth best goal scorer in the history of the Spanish league, and the fifth highest goal scorer in the history of the Copa del Rey.

Edmundo Suarez joined Valencia in 1939 and stayed for the next 11 seasons. During his highly successful career, Suarez was a high-scoring player obtaining an average of 0.92 goals per game with Valencia. He was also awarded the Pichichi Trophy in the 1941–42 and 1942–43 seasons, with 27 and 28 goals respectively.

Suarez left his all-time club at the 1950 to play for local club, Alcoyano. In his last season as a player he scored 9 goals in 21 games before retiring at the age of 36.

Soon after retirement, Suarez started his managerial career. He went back to coach Valencia in 1963 and Thanks to his strong character and tactical inflexibility, he went on to improve Valencia's league position, placing them in sixth place.

Suarez started the 1966–67 season as the team's coach and achieved great success, winning the Copa del Rey by beating Athletic Club 2–0 in the final. His remained Valencia's coach until 13 October 1968, when he ended his coaching career due to the team's poor performance.
