Before the new season, no one had scored the opening goal of a new campaign on more than one occasion, but when Alexandre Lacazette scored the opening goal in the 2020/2021 season, he broke the record.

1992/93- Brian Deane
The first person on the list of EPL's Every Opening Day First Goal Scorer ever, is Brian Deane, an English former footballer who played for Sheffield United at that time.He managed to score the first goal of Premier League's history against Man United at the 5th minute of the game. In the same game, he scored another goal from the penalty spot after 50 minutes.
Later on, Deane scored 14 more goals that year and became one of the top goalscorers of the season.
It's interesting to know that after he played for several clubs during his career, he came back to Sheffield United and retired there.
1993/94 - Peter Beagrie
Peter Beagrie was the person who scored the opening goal in the second edition of the EPL. Beagrie was a 28-year-old English footballer and was playing for Everton.The goal was scored against Southampton in the 10th minute of the game. Everton scored another goal at the 44th minute which made Everton the winner of the match.
He played in Everton for 5 seasons and scored a total of 11 goals during his time with The Toffees.
1994/95 - Kevin Campbell
Kevin Joseph Campbell, a former English player succeeded in scoring the first goal of the season at the 2nd minute of the match. Then Arsenal scored 2 more goals which include another goal from Campbell at the 76th minute.He made 23 appearances that year and scored 4 goals in Arsenal. Unfortunately, it was his last year in Arsenal after 7 years.
During his career, he played for 8 clubs and scored a total of 148 goals and was present for almost 500 matches.He retired in 2007 at the age of 37.
1995/96 - Alan Shearer, Efan Ekoku, Danny Williamson
You might ask yourself why there are three names in the heading. Well, somehow these footballers managed to score the first goal of the season at the same time at the 5th minute of the game. Although we couldn’t place the pictures of all three due to lack of space.
Shearer was playing for Blackburn, Ekoku was in Wimbledon and Williamson was wearing West Ham united's shirt. Goals were scored aginst QPR, Leeds United, and Bolton.
Shearer became the top goal scorer of that season with 25 goals but the other two players didn't score much, but, all of them claimed their place in the list of opening goalscorers of all Premier League seasons.

1996/97 - Stig Inge Bjornebye
On a match between Liverpool and Middlesbrough, Norwegian footballer Stig Inge Bjornebye scored a goal in the 4th minute of the game and became one of the premier league's Every Opening Day First Goal Scorer of all time.
That was one of the two goals that he scored for Liverpool during the time he was in there. But when you're a Left-back it's hard to score goals. He also made 139 appearances when he was in Liverpool.
In 2000, he was transferred to Blackburn and retired three years later.
1997/98 - Faustino Asprilla
Next, we have Faustino Asprilla. A Colombian former footballer who played as a forward and scored the first goal in the 1997/98 season.The goal was scored at the 2nd minute of the match against Sheffield Wednesday. Later on, Asprilla scored again and made Newcastle united the winner.
He only scored 2 goals that year and only scored 9 goals during his appearance in Newcastle. Actually, he didn't play much in Premier League and only has been there for 3 years and he played for Newcastle.
In 1998 he moved on to Serie A club Parma and played there for one year.
1998/99 - Emile Heskey
In August 1998, Emile Heskey managed to score the first goal of the season against Man United and that was the second time for Manchester to receive the first goal of the year.
Heskey was playing for Leicester City at that time and he scored 6 more goals in the 1998/99 season of Premier League.He played for Leicester from 1994 till 2000 and made 154 appearances there. Then signed for Liverpool in a long-anticipated £11 million move.
1999/2000 - Carl Cort
At the 10th minute of a match between Wimbledon and Watford, Carl Cort, who was on the Wimbledon's side, scored a goal and put his name among opening goalscorers of all Premier League seasons.
He scored 8 more goals and appeared in 34 matches that year and then he was transferred to Newcastle for the next season where he played 4 years.He scored a total of 28 goals for Premier League and was presented in the 111 matches of that league. The Guyanese footballer retired in 2014.
2000/01 - Mark Venus
English former footballer Mark Venus was playing for Ipswich Town when he scored the opening goal of the 2000/01 season.The goal was scored at the 9th minute with help of Jim Magilton. That was the first goal of that match.Actually, he didn't score any other goals on that season or even during his appearance in Ipswich.
He appeared in 214 Premier League matches and scored 15 goals.He retired from the world of football in 2004.
2001/02 - Kevin Nolan
Kevin Nolan is an English former footballer who placed himself in the list of Every Opening DayFirst Goalscorer in Premier League History by scoring the first goal of the season against Leicester City when he was playing for Bolton.After 26 minutes, he succeeded in scoring again with of Gudni Bergsson. That day Bolton achieved a 0-5 victory against Leicester.That day was actually Nolan's Premier League debut and he made 34 more appearances that year.
Nolan scored almost 70 goals when he was playing for Premier League clubs. After that Bolton Nolan moved on to Newcastle for a £4 million fee.
2002/03 - Michael Ricketts
Michael Ricketts, an English striker who was another member of Bolton, scored a penalty at the 4th minute of the game and that goal became the first goal of the 2002/03 season.Bolton lost that match against Fulham but Ricketts already made history and became one of the opening goalscorers of all Premier League seasons.
He scored 6 goals that season and made 22 appearances for Bolton. The next year, he was transferred to Middlesbrough and played there for 2 years.
2003/04 - David Dunn
On August 16, David Dunn made Birmingham the winner against Spurs when he scored a penalty at the 36th minute. That was the only goal of that match.
On that season, He only scored one more goal and was present for 21 matches.He started his senior career playing for Blackburn, then he moved on to Birmingham and stayed there for 4 years and after that, he came back to Blackburn.
The English player ended his football career at the age of 37.
2004/05 - Djibril Cisse
This French striker played for many clubs and Liverpool, where he scored the first goal of the season, was one of them. He was 23 at that time and it was his first year in Liverpool.
If you pay attention you will notice that Spurs broke the record of "most first goals of the season received" that day. The funny part is it wasn't the last time for Tottenham.
Cisse scored 4 goals that season and appeared 16 times in Liverpool's shirt.He played three more years for Liverpool and then was transferred to a Ligue 1 club Marseille in 2007.
2005/06 - Ruud van Nistelrooy
In the opening of the 2005/06 Premier League season, 16 clubs played with each other, and two of them were Man United and Everton. The match took place in Goodison Park, Liverpool.At the 43rd minute of the match, Nistelrooy scored a goal with the assist of John O'Shea. After that Rooney scared another goal and ensured the win of Maan united.
That season Nistelrooy scored 21 goals and placed his place in the season's top scorers list as well as EPL's Every Opening Day First Goal Scorer ever.He moved on to Real Madrid and stayed there for 5 years.
2006/07 - Rob Hulse
Rob Hulse is a former striker who scored the opening goal of the season against Liverpool. He was playing for Sheffield United.Hulse scored a total of 8 goals that year and made 21 apeearances on that year.
After 2006 he didn't appear in the Premier League till 2011 when he was playing for Queens Park Rangers.
He ended his professional career when he was 34 years old.
2007/08 - Michael Chopra
In August 2007 English footballer Michael Chopra succeeded in putting himself in the list of opening goalscorers of all Premier League seasonsby scoring a goal for Sunderland against Spurs at the 90th minute of the match.
It's worth mentioning that Chopra actually caused Sunderland's victory because if he didn't score that goal the match would have ended up in a 0-0 draw.
That year, Chopra scored 6 goals and made 33 appearances.He played for Sunderland a year after and then moved on to Cardiff City.
2008/09 - Samir Nasri
At the 4th minute of the game French footballer Samir Nasri scored a goal for Arsenal and it became the first goal of the season. Nasri was playing against West Bromwich Albion.
What’s interesting is that Nasri is only 33 years old and he was a 21-year-old youngster when he scored that goal. Nasri generally scored 18 goals for Arsenal which 6 of them was in the 2008/09 season.
Nasri made a total of 220 appearances in the Premier League.
2009/10 - Stephen Hunt
Stephen Patrick Hunt is a former Irish winger who was playing for Hull City when he scored the first goal of the 2009/10 season against Chelsea. Unfortunately, Chelsia scored back and gained a 2-1 victory.
Hunt played only one season for Hull City and was transferred to Wolverhampton Wanderers next season.
Stephen Hunt was present for 143 Premier League matches.
2010/11 – Nikola Kalinic
At the 14th minute of the match between Blackburn and Everton, Nikola Kalinic scored the victory goal for Blackburn and it became the opening the goal of the season.He made 18 appearances that season and scored 5 more goals.
After that year he was transferred to Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk which is a Ukrainian football club. He played 2 years in Premier League generally which was his 2 years in Blackburn.
2011/12 - Luis Suarez
Everybody knows who he is! This Uruguayan footballer is among the best players of all time, he won several league titles with his clubs, and last but not least he is one of the opening goalscorers of all Premier League seasons.
He was playing for Liverpool when he scored the goal. The goal was scored against Sunderland in the 12th minute of the match.
Suarez scored 69 goals for Liverpool and was placed in the list of season's top scorers both in 2012 and 2013. He also appeared 110 times in the Premier League.
In 2014, Suarez agreed with Barcelona on a five-year contract.
2012/13 - Michu
Miguel Pérez Cuesta is a former Spanish striker who scored the first goal of the 2012/13 season when he was playing for Swansea City.He actually was one of the top goalscorers of the season with 18 goals. Also, he was present in 53 matches.
He stayed 2 more years in Swansea City and then was transferred to Langreo.
2013/14 - Daniel Sturridge
This is an English professional footballer played for many clubs and Liverpool, where he scored the first goal of the season, is one of them.The goal was scored in the 37th minute of the match against Stoke City.
That season, Sturridge scored 21 goals and was the second person in the list of season's top scorers after his teammate, Louis Suarez.
2014/15 - Ki Sung-Yeung
This South Korean footballer is the next person on the list of opening goalscorers of all Premier League seasons. He scored the opening goal in a match against Man United when he was playing for Swansea City.
He was playing as a midfielder and stayed all the 90 minutes in the field. He received a yellow card on that match.He played in 6 seasons with Swansea City and made a total of 139 appearances.
After Swansea City, he moved on to Newcastle United and stayed there for 2 years.
2015/16 - Kyle Walker
He became the first goal scorer of the 2015/16 season when he scored a goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but it was an own goal. The ball was in the Spurs net!Tottenham lost to Manchester because of Kyle Walker's own goal. No other goals were scored after that goal...what a shame.
But fortunately, nowadays Walker is making progress and playing well in Man City.
2016/17 - Adama Diomande
Adama Diomande the season's first scorer, when he shot a right-footed shot to the top left corner of Leister City's net. The goal was assisted by Hernandez following a corner.He only scored 2 goals that season and was present in 22 matches.
This Norwegian player was transferred to Los Angeles FC and he is still playing there.
2017/18 - Alexandre Lacazette
August 11 was the time it all began for Lacazette to caputure opening goalscorers of all Premier League seasons list. He scored the goal at the 2nd minute of the match with a header. The goal was assisted by Elneny.With the help of Lacazette and others, Arsenal gained a 4-3 victory against Leicester City.
In the 2017/18 season, Lacazette was able to score 14 goals and be present for 32 matches, which is not bad for his first year in Arsenal.From 2017 till now he had almost 100, Premier League appearances and nearly 40 goals with Arsenal.
It's also worth mentioning that he plays as a striker, but has also been used as a second striker, and wide forward.
2018/19 - Paul Pogba
Paul Pogba! A French footballer of whom many football lovers heard the name. He plays for Manchester, He broke the record of highest football transfer fee with €105 million and he is also one of the opening goalscorers of all Premier Leagueseasons.He scored the goal from the penalty spot in the 3rd minute of the match, Manchester United scored another goal and achieved a victory againstLeicester City.
Pogba scored a total of 25 goals for Man United and made 111 appearances.

2019/20 - Grant Hanley
It's another own goal by a Hanley, a Scottish defender who playsfor Norwich. After that Liverpool scored three more goals and destroyed NorwichCity. He is still playing for Norwich.
2020/21 - Alexandre Lacazette
Lacazette managed to be the season's first goal scorer again. He is a very good player and deserves to be at the top of the list of opening goalscorers of all Premier League seasons.
