Undoubtedly the best Liverpool player ever, Steven Gerrard is actually a product of Liverpool and has played all his footballing career for the Premier League club except for one season (2015-16) that he played for LA Galaxy. The great Liverpool player was born in May 1980 (Aged 40) in Whiston, Merseyside, England, and played all his career as a midfielder.

Steven Gerrard is not the only Liverpool footballer but also the only footballer in the world who has scored in four major European competitions finals, namely FA Cup, League Cup, UEFA Cup, and UEFA Champions League, winning on each occasion.

He was also considered as the best footballer in the world in 2009 by the football legends, Pele and Zinedine Zidane.

Dalglish is one of those footballers who have managed the team they played for during their career as a player. He has actually managed Liverpool from 1985 to 1991 and in 2011-12 season.

He is also an inductee of both Scottish and English Football Halls of Fame and became a member of the Order of British Empire, just like Steven Gerrard, in 1985 for his services to football. As a manager, he was also named as the Premier League Manager of the Season in 1994-95 season.

Considered as one of the best Liverpool players ever, Ian James Rush, simply known as Ian Rush, served Liverpool for two third of his footballing career, namely from 1980 to 1986 and from 1988 to 1996 after a short spell with Juventus in 1987-88 season.

Robbie Fowler

Alan Hansen

Michael Owen
