Predicting the top footballers of the 2020s

Time to go through the list.

Erling Braut Håland

Known as one of the best young football players around the world, Haaland is widely known for his strength and brilliant control on the ball. He was born a footballer, as his father, Alf-Inge Håland, was also a footballer. He started his senior career when he was just 16 by kicking the ball for Bryne and continued his job playing for Molde, Red Bull Salzburg, and Borussia Dortmund where he still kicks the ball at the age of 19. Besides, the awesome player is a member of the Norway national team. It is also interesting to know that Haaland is the first player in UEFA Champions League history to score six goals in his first three games.

While he is a real team player, he has also proven himself as a perfect goal scorer during his short career. Being able to score through powerful long-range shots, well-placed finishes, composed finishes during a one-on-one with goalkeepers, he is definitely one of the stars in the new generation to keep an eye on.

Lautaro Martinez

Have you ever considered the young Argentine footballer’s performance?

Known as the Bull, he is already one of the bests in the football world while he is just 22-years-old!

He has also taken part in The Champions League, Coppa Italia, and Europa League.

In the case of the UEFA Champions League, it is interesting to know that o Martinez scored his first goal in the competition in a 2-1 away defeat to Barcelona in the group stage and so became the first player since Roberto Boninsegna in 1970 to score at Camp Nou for Inter.

However, that was not all for the young star during the tournament. In fact, he later reached his second milestone by scoring a brace in a 3-1 away win against Slavia Prague. This brace made him the fourth Inter player after Hernan Crespo, Christian Vieri, and Samuel Eto'o and the fifth Argentinian player after Hernan Crespo, Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero, and Ezequiel Lavezzi to score in four consecutive Champions League games.

We also have to mention that Martinez plays an important role in the Argentine national senior team. He joined the team in 2018 and just one year later scored his first international hat-trick in a friendly against Mexico, which Argentina won 4–0.

Lucas Hernandez

The next name to be considered as one of the best players in the 2020s is Lucas Hernandez who is currently kicking the ball for the German champions, Bayern Munich.

Finally, he signed his first professional contract with Barcelona, agreeing to a deal until 2022 on 24 July 2019.

The 17-years-old star, made his Barcelona debut at the age of 16, in September, but it didn’t take long for him to prove that he is a real star. In fact, the absence of Lionel Messi, due to injury at the beginning of the season, gave the team’s new arrival the chance to make an instant impact.

“He’s an amazing player and he’s got what it takes to succeed,” Messi said in September. “I hope he keeps on enjoying it and that all the fuss around him doesn’t have a negative impact on him because he has the quality to become one of the best.”
