Being named as a rich team in football world is not easily achieved, as the club has to own at least €200m to take a spot in the top 20 rich list this year.
We all know that money in not everything, but it is very important with no doubt. In soccer world, nothing is different as if there’s no money, then the team cannot have decent players, coaches, training facilities and stadium.
It is good to know that the richest football clubs of 2020 had a 7% increase in revenue from last year, with the Top 10 generating a combined total of €6billion.
It also has to be mentioned that many teams have tried to gain their spot in the list for this year, while some have lost their own. One of the most important one in this case is the famous Premier League team, Arsenal. The Gunners have been known as one of the richest teams in the league all through these years, but they have dropped back from 6th place in 2018 to 9th in 2019 and are now out of the top 10 list for the first time in many years. This is while Barcelona have overtaken Real Madrid to bec+ome the world’s richest football club, according to Deloitte’s Football Money League.

Barcelona with 840.8 million euros
As the first on our list of the richest football clubs in the world in 2020, the Spanish football club was founded in 1899 by a group of Swiss, Spanish, English, and Catalan footballers led by Joan Gamper. Barcelona has become a symbol of Catalan culture and Catalanism since. It is the fourth-most valuable sports team in the world, worth $4.06 billion, and the world's richest football club in terms of revenue.
The Catalans top the Money League for the very first time and are the first football club ever to generate an annual revenue of more than €800 million. They also have increased their revenue by more than €150m compared to 2019 after bringing merchandizing and licensing activities in-house.
As many of you may guess, the club's biggest asset remains Lionel Messi.
Real Madrid with 757.3 million euros
As one of the most widely supported teams in the world, Read Madrid was founded on 6 March in 1902. The word real is Spanish for "royal" and was bestowed to the club by King Alfonso XIII in 1920 together with the royal crown in the emblem. The team has played its home matches in the 81,044-capacity Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in downtown Madrid since 1947.

The team was dropped to second place after a year of mixed results on the pitch. The 13-times European champions increased their revenue by only 0.99 percent from last year (€750.9m) but that could change again in 2020. The third team on our list of the richest football clubs around the world in 2020 is Manchester United. The Red Devil’s club was founded as Newton Heath LYR Football Club in 1878, changed its name to Manchester United in 1902 and moved to its current stadium, Old Trafford, in 1910.
The club was the highest-earning football club in the world for 2016–17, with an annual revenue of €676.3 million, and the world's third most valuable football club in 2019, valued at £3.15 billion. As of June 2015, it is the world's most valuable football brand, estimated to be worth $1.2 billion.
Two years ago, the Red Devils topped the Deloitte ranking but now Manchester United are back down to third, just as in 2019. The 20-times English champions increased their revenue by almost 50 million euros this year but, with on-pitch struggles again leaving Champions League qualification in doubt, they are in danger of being superceded by local rivals Manchester City in next year's Money League.
Bayern Munich with 660.1 million euros

The Bavarian giants increased their revenue by €31m this year, but an extended deal with automobile partner and 8.33% shareholder Audi is reported to be worth a further €50m a year until 2029. It also has to be mentioned that despite earning less TV money than English or Spanish clubs, Bayern held on to fourth place in the ranking.
Paris St. Germain with 635.9 million euros
Founded in 1970, the club played their home matches in Parc des Princes, since 1974. The Parisian club established itself as a major force in France, and one of the major forces of European football in the 2010s. So far they have won a total of 40 titles, while 39 of them has been top-flight trophies, making it the most successful French club in history.
For the past eight years, the French club have been financed by the Qatari state investment group QSI. The Qataris have pumped hundreds of millions into the club in order to sign top players like Neymar and hire quality coaches such as Thomas Tuchel, formerly of Borussia Dortmund. The club's main goal has been to lift the Champions League trophy but money hasn't proven to be enough so far.

Tottenham Hotspur with 521.1 million euros
Founded in 1882, Tottenham won the FA Cup for the first time in 1901, the only non-League club to do so since the formation of the Football League in 1888 and so far they have been one of the most successful ones. In total, Spurs have won two league titles, eight FA Cups, four League Cups, seven FA Community Shields, one European Cup Winners' Cup and two UEFA Cups.

In case of being rich, the Old Lady moved back into the top 10 with Deloitte claiming that the arrival of Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo "increased Juventus' commercial appeal". The 34-year-old joined Juventus from Real Madrid for more than €100 million in July 2018. Other signings such as Matthijs de Ligt also boosted Juventus' brand visibility and commercial revenue.
