Brazil 3-0 Ghana: Unstoppable Selecao

Neymar shined, Richarlison and Marquinhos scored, as Brazil dominated Ghana during a rare visit to Normandy.

Richarlison

scored twice as Brazil defeated

Ghana

3-0 in Le Havre, a preview of the Selecao's strength prior to their pursuit of a sixth World Cup championship.

Neymar

was the orchestrator in the first half, setting up both of Richarlison's goals after Marquinhos had given Spurs the lead. Neymar received a late booking for biting Mohammed Kudus, the Ajax player who scored too hard against

Liverpool

in the

Champions League

.

But nothing could ruin Brazil's night in Normandy as Tite's squad secured a decisive victory. Marquinhos headed home Raphinha's devilishly powerful corner kick from the right side in the ninth minute to score the game's first goal.

Raphinha

, Neymar, and Vinicius Junior failed to capitalize on opportunities before Richarlison scored in the 28th minute with a low, clean first-time effort from Neymar's feed into the bottom-right corner.

Richarlison's header gave Jojo Wollacott little chance on Brazil's third goal in the 40th minute as Neymar took on set-piece responsibilities on the left and whipped a dangerous free-kick into the near post.

Inaki Williams, a forward for Athletic Bilbao, made his Ghana debut in the second half after switching his nationality from Spain. Bremer, a Juventus central defender, also made his debut for Brazil, replacing

Thiago Silva

. Andre Ayew's 57th-minute header against the crossbar came close to giving Ghana a goal back, while Williams was a dangerous addition to the Black Stars' attack.

Tite substituted Fabinho, Antony, and Matheus Cunha for Richarlison, Vinicius, and Casemiro just after the hour mark, as Brazil had reserved. Raphinha could not reach a dangerous ball across the goal from Lucas Paqueta, and Cunha's close-range attempt deflected over the crossbar as Brazil futilely searched for a fourth goal late in the match.
