Bayern president Hainer: "We are completely convinced of Nagelsmann"

Due to Bayern Munich's current winless streak in the Bundesliga (four games), head coach Julian Nagelsmann is under scrutiny.

Despite going winless in their last four

Bundesliga

games for the first time since the 2001-02 season,

Bayern Munich

president Herbert Hainer has stood behind head coach Julian Nagelsmann.

Bayern suffered its first defeat of the season even after playing three consecutive draws at home against

Borussia Monchengladbach

, Union Berlin, and

Stuttgart

before Saturday's 1-0 setback at Augsburg.

Bayren’s 2-0 victories against Inter and Barcelona in the Champions League group stage, now results in sitting in fifth place in the Bundesliga. CEO Oliver Kahn had previously backed Nagelsmann, stating on Sunday,

"We always have the strength to get back to the front, where we belong, to the top of the table. Four Bundesliga games without a win at Bayern is, of course, not what our fans and all of us imagine."

"We see the multitude of goal chances that our team creates in every match and that are currently not reflected in our results. We are completely convinced of Julian Nagelsmann and our entire team."

Bayern have won just three of their last 10 Bundesliga games (D5 L2), including the end of last season, however their final three games of 2021-22 were played after they had already clinched a 10th straight title. However, Hainer reassured fans that the team would resume attacking in the FC Bayern style after the international break.

"The season has just started and we know we have the potential to achieve our big goals."
