Valencia recieves new hope for completing Nou Mestalla

Wed 17 November 2021 | 12:19

Valencia intends to continue the stadium project after a long time.

Valencia

intend to complete the Nou Mestalla stadium with a loan from CVC La Liga.

The construction project of the stadium started thirteen years ago and due to financial problems, it is now a half-finished project. However, La Liga CVC, which lends a significant amount of money to clubs, has given Valencia new hope in completing the project. Valencia will receive $ 125 million, most of which will be spent on stadium infrastructure.

Valencia is still licensed to build the stadium and can continue the project. Some city council members believed that a construction permit should be obtained from the club due to the lack of progress in the project, but the head of the municipality's economic department supported the club in building the stadium.

He said:

“In my opinion, this is not the time to expire the ATE for a simple reason, and I will speak as clearly as possible.

“We have just denied the extension after some allegations from the club to the first refusal and we are in a process in which Valencia have the possibility of filing an administrative dispute.

“The club has two months to carry out this procedure.”
