Cannavaro waiting for offers from Europe

The former star of the Italian national team hopes to have his first coaching experience in Europe.

Fabio Cannavaro claimed that he had offers from MLS but preferred to wait for an opportunity from Europe.

The 48-year-old resigned from coaching

Guangzhou Evergrande

in September, and rumors are circulating about his presence in European football. He, who won the Ballon d'Or in 2006 and is the last defender to win the title, has confirmed that he has received offers from the United States but intends to experience coaching in Europe.

He said:

“I had some offers from America but I had to reject them. I prefer to wait for a chance in Europe.

“I’m not in a hurry, I’m not impatient, but I have a lot of desire and I risk getting tired by lazing around.”

Cannavaro has played for

Juventus

and

Real Madrid

and has also made 136 appearances for Italy. He has not coached in Europe and his experience has been limited to Asia.
