Barca without Pique against Dynamo Kiev

The Barcelona centre-back is going to miss his side’s clash against Dynamo Kiev this week and may not feature until after the international break.

Gerard Pique

is not going to feature for

Barcelona

in their battle against

Dynamo Kiev

in the Champions League this week.

After 70 minutes of the 1-1 draw with Deportivo Alaves on Saturday, the centre-back was substituted.  According to the Catalan, Pique suffered discomfort in his calf and more tests have shown that he has a muscle strain that will have him out of action "for the foreseeable future".

The 34-year-old is sure that he will not play in the clash in Ukraine on Tuesday as well as next Saturday’s clash against Celta Vigo in the league, which is their final game before the international break in November.

Pique met the back of the net in the reverse fixture battle against Dynamo, which put Barcelona one point behind the second-placed Benfica in Group E after three matches.

He featured in 13 matches in the 2021-22 season. the Blaugrana may also be without Sergio Aguero after he had to be taken to the hospital to get a cardiac test since he felt dizzy during the Alaves match.

However, the news of Ousmane Dembele, Ansu Fati and Frenkie de Jong being available in the team training was a boost.
