The young Spanish star will stay in the Camp Nou and his salary will increase significantly

Goal confirmed that the talks between Pedri and Barcelona have made significant progress and that the two sides will soon reach an agreement.

Barca

are considering a  € 600 million termination clause in their midfielder's contract to prevent him from being bought by other clubs. According to

previous reports

, Barcelona were in talks with Ansu Fati and Pedri to extend their contracts, but Blaugrana could not make a suitable offer to the two stars due to financial constraints. The 18-year-old Spanish star is ready to extend his contract with the club until 2026 and his salary will increase accordingly.

Although Pedri is one of Barcelona's best players at the moment, he is also one of the team's lowest paid players. As a result, his salary will increase significantly and Barca will put a €600 million termination clause in his contract to prevent his transfer.

After finalizing the extension with Pedri, Barca will move on to the extension with Anso Fati, Ronald Araujo and Gavi. Laporta is trying to perpetuate the young stars of his team in the first year of his presence so that the transfer of Lionel Messi as a free agent will be forgotten.
