Martinez's job is secure, RBFA chief executive confirms

Belgium experienced a disappointing end to their Nations League campaign as they lost the battle for the third place to Italy, however, Roberto Martinez's job is still not at risk.

Belgium

ended their Nations League campaign with a 3-2 defeat to France in the semi-finals and a 2-1 loss against Italy in the third-place play-off.

Despite the Red Devils’ disappointing closure in the European tournament, RBFA (Royal Belgian Football Association) chief executive

Peter Bossaert

says

Roberto Martinez

is still supported and his job is not at risk, however, Bossaert insisted that what happened against France should not happen again.

"Roberto is still the right man for the job,"

Bossaert told La Derniere Heure.

"We still support him 100 per cent. But we have to learn from the game against France, in which we played our best half of football and worst half in a long time.

"I'm going to ask some people for advice, but I'm not going to create a commission or a committee. I also don't want too many people giving their opinions because then there will be too many differing opinions."
