Rashford to join contact training after shoulder injury

The Manchester United forward is optimistic about his recovery process.

Marcus Rashford is yet to play his first game for Manchester United this season. The Red Devils forward underwent an operation on his shoulder in July, starting a long road to full recovery.

The England international provided an update on his


, posting positive news about his recovery process on Twitter.

"Happy Monday. I see the doctor on Friday for a consultation. All being well, I will get the green to join in with contact training again."

Rashford wrote on Monday.

He added:

"*light* I suppose I was so happy to tell everybody I missed a word."

Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has stated before that he expects Rashford to be back after the international break next month.

The Red Devils suffered their first defeat of the season on Friday. Solskjaer’s side were beaten 1-0 by Aston Villa as they slipped to fourth place on the Premier League table.
