The Norwegian star is likely to leave Dortmund at the end of the season.
CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has claimed that it will be difficult to keep Erling Haaland in Dortmund, but they will not lose hope.
Many clubs want to sign Erling Haaland, and Real Madrid and Manchester United are the most serious. The Norwegian star has attracted a lot of attention with his brilliance in Dortmund. There is a clause in Haaland's contract that clubs can hire him at the end of the current season for 75 million euros. However, Watzke believes that Dortmund will do their best to save Haaland.
He said: "Of course it will be difficult. I am not saying, however, that it is completely out of the question. We'll do everything we can to keep our top players loyal to us in the future."
The Netherlands have scored 68 goals in 67 games for Dortmund. Finding a replacement for him will be an impossible mission for Dortmund. However, Watzke hopes that if the Netherlands secede, they can find a suitable replacement. He added: "We have to have the self-confidence to say we'll find a new top striker again."
