Deadline Day: Kean returns to Juventus on loan deal

The Everton striker spent the last season on loan at PSG.

Following his €28 million transfer to Everton in 2019,

Moise Kean

struggled to live up to expectations at Goodison Park. The former Juventus striker was loaned out to PSG last year, but an impressive campaign at Parc des Princes has earned him a new contract at Juventus.

The Bianconeri

announced

they have signed re-signed Kean on a two-year loan deal with an obligation to buy for €28m in 2023. The Italian giants are set to pay a €7m fee for the loan deal, but the fee for the permanent move can be paid in installments.

"Juventus Football Club announces that it has reached an agreement with Everton Football Club for the acquisition, on a temporary basis until 30 June 2023, of the registration rights of the player Moise Bioty Kean.”

Juventus’ official statement reads.

"The agreement provides for the obligation on the part of Juventus to definitively acquire the right to the player’s sports performance upon achieving certain sporting objectives during the 2022/2023 season. The agreed consideration for the definitive acquisition is € 28.0 million, payable in three financial years.

"In addition, cumulative bonuses of up to € 3.0 million are envisaged upon the achievement of further objectives."

Kane made 45 appearances for PSG during his stay at the French side, scoring 19 goals. The Italian striker is expected to be challenged by

Alvaro Morata

to secure a starting place in the Bianconeri lineup.
