Brighton set to pay the release clause for Getafe's Marc Cucurella

Brighton have allegedly reached an agreement to recruit Marc Cucurella from Getafe.

The Seagulls have been pursuing the Spain ََU-21 international throughout the summer as they try to bolster their attacking options.

And it appears they've finally found him, with

Fabrizio Romano

claiming that the winger's release clause has been triggered.

The

La Liga

side has been clear from the start that Brighton would not be getting a bargain and that the English South Coast club would have to trigger Cucurella's buyout clause to complete the deal.

But, according to Romano, they have finally done so, agreeing to pay the €18 million necessary to complete the transaction.

Cucurella is expected to go to Brighton as soon as today to sign the documents necessary to complete his relocation.

Therefore, he'll have time to relocate from Spain during the current international break, having completed his obligations with Spain's under-21 team following the recent

U-21 Euro Cup.
