The Brazilian star has attracted the attention of the defending La Liga champions.

Atletico Madrid

are set to make a move for Hertha Berlin striker Matheus Cunha and have begun talks.

Athletic attempts to sign Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic failed and negotiations with Wolverhampton to sign Rafa Mir failed. Cunha, who won the 2020 Olympics with Brazil, is valued at 27 million euros. He scored 3 goals and 1 assist in 5 games and was one of the stars of Brazil in this competition. Cunha also scored 7 goals and 6 assists in the Bundesliga last season.

The 22-year-old striker joined Hertha from Leipzig in January 2020, and Atletico, who intend to have a quality striker alongside Suarez in their attack, are closely monitoring his situation.
