The Eagles have already made their first bid to sign the Brazilian striker.

Having spent a season on loan at Tottenham,

Carlos Vinicius

returned to

at the end of the last season. The Brazilian striker featured in 22 matches for the Spurs, scoring 10 goals and providing 3 assists. The 26-year-old might leave Benfica again ahead of the next season.

According to

, Eintracht Frankfurt have made an offer of an initial one-year loan with a €25 million option to purchase. The striker is set to play for Benfica in their Champions League qualifier against Spartak Moscow on Wednesday. However, a potential move to the Bundesliga side would probably prevent the player from participating in the second leg of the tie.

Frankfurt are monitoring the market to find a replacement for

Andre Silva

, who left the club to join RB Leipzig earlier this summer.

Oliver Glasner

, who has replaced Adi Hutter as Frankfurt's manager, is expected to organize his line-up around a classic number nine and Vinicius seems to be a suitable option for the job.
