Joining Real Madrid in 2019 for a $126.50m fee, Eden Hazard failed to live up to his expectations as his Los Blancos career might get shortened as the Belgium international has been linked with a return to Chelsea.

Spending 7 years at Stamford Bridge,

Diario AS

 has reported that

the Blues

are interested in bringing the 30-year-old winger back. However, due to the economic situation of the football world, the transfer might become complicated, especially as their primary target is

Dortmund’s Erling Haaland

Pleased with the work done by Mason Mount, Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Christian Pulisic, and Hakim Ziyech in their Champions League-winning season,

are unlikely to pay the €60m fee

Real Madrid

want for the former Lille man.

’s good relations with the hierarchy at Stamford Bridge and his former teammates keep the transfer on cards.

It was reported earlier this week

that Chelsea are willing to offer Dortmund either Tammy Abraham or Callum Hodson-Odoi in part exchange with Erling Haaland.

The Blues, who have struggled on the attacking line several times last season, intend to solve the scoring problem in their team by attracting the Norwegian star. Despite winning the Champions League, Tuchel's side struggled on the offensive line, with Timo Werner and Abraham scoring a total of 12 goals for their side.

Dortmund have reportedly turned down the Blues' offer and signing the Norwegian star is currently an impossible mission for the clubs. Following the sale of Jadon Sancho to Manchester United, Dortmund have no plans to weaken their attack further, and keeping Haaland is their top priority.
