The representative of Juventus’ Fagioli has spoken about the transfer race between the Gunners and Juventus for signing the Sassuolo star.

Manuel Locatelli

has been heavily linked with a move to Juventus in recent weeks. The Turin side's

initial offer

for the player was reportedly rejected by Sassuolo, with Juventus being interested in adding youngsters such as

Nicolo Fagioli

and

Radu Dragusin

into their second bid.

Fagioli’s agent

Andrea D'Amico

ruled his client out of a potential swap deal for the Sassuolo midfielder.

He told

Sky Sport Italia

:

"I think Massimiliano Allegri wants to see him [Fagioli] in training to understand if he can be useful during the season.

"When he played against SPAL and Crotone last term, he proved he can be a protagonist of Juventus’ future.”

The agent claims the Gunners have already made a bid for the 23-year-old Italy international.

"Juventus would like to sign Locatelli and Arsenal have already offered €40m.

"But I can ensure you that, as of today, Fagioli has not been included in the deal."

Locatelli has attracted interest from a host of elite European clubs after his impressive performances at Euro 2020. The Italian midfielder scored twice in his five European Championship appearances for the Azzurri.
