Giroud is finally signing a deal with AC Milan

Olivier Giroud signs a two-year deal with AC Milan and says goodbye to the Blues’ fans.

has finally overcome the problems of his move to

Milan

and will sign a two-year deal with the club, and Milan will pay the Blues an initial €1m (£855,000) for the France international.

The French striker arrived at Milan’s La Madonnina clinic at approximately 7 am on Friday to undergo a medical before the transfer.

After signing a contract with the Serie A side, the experienced striker has written a letter to Chelsea’s fans thanking them for their supports.

"To all the Blues, to my teammates, to all my coaches, to the whole club, a huge thank you for these special moments,"

he wrote

"I'm starting a new journey with a light and happy heart. Our victories in FA Cup, Europa League, and Champions League have been magnificent."

Another 1m (£855,000) will be added to Giroud’s fee based on the number of appearances he makes and the club’s qualification for the Champions League.

Olivier Giroud signed a one-year contract with the Blues last summer, and there was an extension option in his contract that was activated by the club last month.

The 34-year-old has made 119 appearances for the Blues since he arrived from Arsenal in 2018, scoring 39 goals winning three major trophies with them.

The Serie A side finished second last term, and they are hoping that the arrival of the high-quality and experienced striker would help them.
