has been extended until June 2026 despite the speculations about his transfer to Manchester United.
The versatile Italy international is a right-back, who can play on the left side or even as a center back, and his ability to play in different positions has made many pundits suggest that he would be an ideal option for the Red Devils, who are looking for a high-quality defender, but he has decided to stay with the Serie A side and play at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
The 28-year-old defender who had an impressive performance in the Euro 2020 for the champions turns 28 next month and has made 13 senior caps for the national team.
And for Napoli that has signed him in the summer of 2019 with an €8m deal, he has made 49 competitive appearances in the 2020-21 season, scoring four goals and assisting eight.
