Sassuolo interested in signing Marko Grujic

Liverpool’s midfielder Marko Grujic has impressed Sassuolo.

Juventus has shown interest in signing

Sassuolo’s

star Manuel Locatelli, who was in Italy’s squad that won the Euro 2020, and the reports suggest that they are willing to make a £40m offer for the high-profile midfielder.

And Sassuolo seems to be looking for a replacement for their star who is probably interested in coming to Turin, and

Liverpool’s

Serbian midfielder

Marko Grujic

is their most serious target in the transfer market.

Marko Grujic has spent the last three seasons on different loan spells at Hertha Berlin, and Porto and the Reds have a £13m on him.

Sassuolo has been a great admirer of the Serbian midfielder for a loan spell, although he seems interested in returning to Porto after a good season there. Sassuolo’s head of recruitment has been interested in signing Grujic for a long time; he even approached the player two years ago when he was in Atalanta’s scouting team.

The Reds, who will play their opening match of the season against Norwich City, don’t seem to be needing the player despite their struggles with lack of high-quality players last season as they are already counting on some of their academy graduates to provide backup power for the first team.
