Pau Torres and Pedri called up to Spain’s Olympic team

Six players from Spain’s Euro 2020 squad have been called up to participate in the summer games.

Spain

are among the favorites to win Euro 2020 after qualifying for the quarter-finals on Monday. Having improved their form throughout the group stage, Luis Enrique’s men must face

Switzerland

in the next round of the tournament. Spain enjoy having a young squad, but some of their players will have to play another tournament right after the Euros.

Six players from Spain’s squad for the Euros have been selected to play for the country’s U23 team in the Olympics.

Pedri

are expected to join the Olympic team after the Euros.

The Tokyo Olympics will officially begin on July 23. However, the football competition is set to start a day earlier and will run until August 7. The new La Liga season will kick off on August 13, meaning the players involved will have less than a week to prepare for the first matchday of the season.
