The Wales international has a contract with Real Madrid that runs until 2022, and he will not return to north London.

Gareth Bale's representative says that the Welshman has "no option" but to return to Madrid in 2021, with the last 12 months of his Real Madrid contract sure to be honored.

During the summer transfer season of 2020, the 31-year-old striker went to a familiar environment in north London on a season-long loan.

There have been rumors of renegotiating the deal, but Jonathan Barnett thinks that won't happen since new Los Blancos manager Carlo Ancelotti is starting from over in Spain.

Bale's agent has told

Standard Sport

when questioned if there is any chance of Tottenham going for another agreement:

"As I have said from the beginning, there is no option.

"Gareth has no agreements whatsoever. He is under contract to Real."

After being shut out at the Santiago Bernabeu by

Zinedine Zidane

, the Wales international returned to the

Premier League

With two

La Liga

championships and four

Champions League

titles under his belt, a guy who was once the most expensive player on the globe returned to the United Kingdom.

Early on, fitness concerns remained an issue, and Jose Mourinho needed to be persuaded that a regular role could be included in his plans.

Bale ultimately found his stride, scoring six goals in his last seven games, including a hat-trick against Sheffield United, to close off the 2020-21 season.

He hit the net 16 times in all, demonstrating that he could still cut it at the greatest level.

Bale's international future with Wales has been resolved, with the Welshman pledging to continue playing, and his emphasis can now return to domestic affairs following a

Euro 2020

last-16 loss to Denmark.
