Coutinho played in Serie A for Inter before moving to Liverpool in 2013.
Milan intends to sign Barcelona star Philippe Coutinho on loan for one year.
Tuttosport claims thatMilan
has begun negotiations with the Spanish club and is trying to bring the former Inter midfielder to the San Siro in the summer. However, Coutinho's €12 million salary in his contract, which runs until June 2023, is the main obstacle to the transfer. In fact, Milan can not afford to pay such a sum for Coutinho's salary and must either agree with the player or convince Barcelona to pay a portion of Coutinho's salary.
Coutinho played 12 games for Barcelona last season. He joined Barca from Liverpool in January 2018 but he could not do as well as he did in the past and find a place for himself. He spent the 2019-2020 season on loan at Bayern Munich and is now considering leaving Barca again.
He played 63 national games for the Brazilian national team, joined Inter Milan in 2008, and played some excellent games for the team. He was on loan at Espanyol for a while and then moved to Liverpool in 2013.
