The ex-Italy international believes the Azzurri will face the ‘real problems’ now as they have reached Euro 2020’s quarter-finals.

Having defeated

Austria

2-1 in extra times,

Italy

will go against either Belgium or Portugal in the quarter-finals at the Euros.

Former attacker

Antonio Cassano

, who met the back of the net 10 times in 39 games for Italy, was part of three European Championships and explained that Italy’s real Problems will come in the quarter-finals.

Now the real problems for Italy begin,”

Cassano told BoboTV.

“Portugal or Belgium in the quarter-finals and then Spain or France in the semi-finals.

“The success against Austria reminded me of the 2006 game against Australia: the worst match of this national team. Now, we can only improve.”

Cassano hailed

Roberto Mancini

for the changes he had done during the second half, as Federico Chiesa and Matteo Pessina scored Azzurri’s two goals against Austria.

“Mancini did a masterpiece with the two changes, but I didn’t share the initial exclusion of [Manuel] Locatelli.”
