There have been recent rumors that Bayern Munich want to sign Chelsea striker Timo Werner. The striker's agent Karlheinz Forster confirmed the talks but said Werner had finally decided to stay at Stamford Bridge.
Some top clubs from Europe wanted him. FC Bayern was there too. But in the end Timo decided on Chelsea,"
Forster told the Sport1 podcast Meine Bayern-Woche.
The Germany international's representative was asked if he thought Werner would continue at Chelsea; he answered:
"He feels comfortable there. A move will not be an issue in the foreseeable future
"Julian let Timo play in a different position at Leipzig. A bit like Thomas Muller at Bayern.
"Julian and Timo appreciate each other. Of course, I don't yet know what will happen in three or four years. Football is fast moving."
The 25-year-old Werner's contract with Chelsea runs until 2025, but he is gradually losing his position as a critical player for the Blues as he scored only 12 goals since arriving in England.
