Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka close to signing for Roma

Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka’s transfer rumor to Roma has been floating around in recent days, and according to reports, the Swiss midfielder is getting closer to signing for the Italian side.

, and they are looking to rebuild their squad ahead of another Serie A season, following a seventh-place finish in the last season.

in 2016.

The 28-year-old Swiss international will face Italy in the group stages of Euro 2020.

According to Metro, talks are now underway between two clubs over the details of the deal.

The report claims that the two teams are in direct contact over a summer switch, although

Roma

want to pay in the region of €15m while Arsenal are sticking at their valuation of €25m.

It has been suggested that Xhaka already agreed personal terms with Roma for a four-year contract.
