has talked about the matter, saying that missing that penalty would not affect his mentality. Torres insists that De Gea can be a very important part of the Spain squad in their battle for glory using his experience and quality.
"He has a strong mind, I spoke with him after the game and this won't affect him,"
said Torres of De Gea in a news conference
"It will stay in the past, I tried to encourage him as best as I could and told him not to worry about it because this summer he is going to lift a different trophy."
Spain’s 1-0 defeat against Ukraine in the Nations League in October 2020 was the last time De Gea played for his national team, but he has been a part of Spain’s squad and still has the chance to return to the number 1 spot.
But Pau Torres himself the speculations about his future at the club are the main conversation as many pundits have suggested that he will be leaving the club in the summer, but he insists that he only wants to focus on Spain right now and thinks that they have the potential to fight for the title.
