Newcastle boss says that the club will do anything to keep Joseph Willock.

Joseph Willock

, who has been an important player for

, will have to leave the club at the end of the season as his loan deal expires, and Magpies will do anything to convince the Gunners to extend Willock’s stay at Tyneside.

Newcastle boss

Steve Bruce

insists that the club will try everything to extend Willock’s stay at the club, but he says they will respect the fact that he is an

Arsenal

player.

“I couldn’t be more pleased for him. He’s done so well,"

Bruce explained to the BBC following the final whistle

.

"We’ll try our utmost to keep him but we must respect that he’s Arsenal’s player."

Willock, who has been experiencing an excellent spell at Newcastle, says that he may stay at the club, and he is happy with the fact that he has broken Alan Shearer’s record by scoring goals in seven consecutive matches.

“To be in his company, I’m honored. And that it's happened for this wonderful club," he

said

.

"He has often messaged me to congratulate me and I’m sure he’ll be happy for me.

"When we were going through our tough period, we said we would stick together and we've done that really well.

“We’ll see what the future holds. I’m blessed to have had the opportunity to play for this wonderful club and I’m happy it’s gone so well."
