The Real Madrid goalkeeper believes that the match against his former team will be very important in London.
goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois believes there will be a crucial final for Real at Stamford Bridge.
Last night, Real Madrid hosted Chelsea in Madrid, and while they were behind their opponent with a goal by Christian Pulisic, Karim Benzema was able to equalize in the 29th minute. Madrid did not perform well in this match and recorded only one shot towards Chelsea's goal. Courtois, a former Chelsea player, has claimed that he and his team-mates will face a difficult match in London.
"The return leg will be like a cup final. Their aggression and intensity, which was greater than ours, took its toll," Courtois said post-match after facing former side Chelsea, where he won two Premier League titles before leaving in 2018.
"We wanted to make the sort of start that they did and apply a high press. They gave their all. We struggled a bit more in the opening 20-25 minutes.
"We have to improve on the balls over the top. We were more in control in the second half."
