According to reports, Jesse Marsch, Pellegrino Matarazzo, and Oliver Glasner are among the contenders to replace Julian Nagelsmann at the helm of RB Leipzig.

RB Leipzig president

Oliver Mintzlaff

announced earlier today that the club has compiled a shortlist of three contenders to take over as head coach from Bayern Munich's

Julian Nagelsmann

Jesse Marsch

of RB Salzburg,

Pellegrino Matarazzo

of VfB Stuttgart, and

Oliver Glasner

of Wolfsburg are the three names on the list, according to Sky Germany.

"I know we have a plan to close the gap. What Julian has built will continue. There is a shortlist of three candidates," said Mintzlaff.

Jesse Marsch, the coach of RB Salzburg, has been touted as the candidate to succeed Nagelsmann, but Mintzlaff maintained that no deal has been reached with the 47-year-old.

"Nothing is agreed with [RB Salzburg coach] Jesse Marsch, I can say that. We are now looking at the three candidates we have."
