The Colombia international’s face bone has been fractured when he and Kerem Akturkoglu clashed their heads on Sunday.

Radamel Falcao

has sustained a fractured bone in his face after crashing into his teammate

Kerem Akturkoglu

in the training session.

Galatasaray

pronounced that the striker went to the hospital for taking tests after the incident and is going to be out of action for a while.

The bone will be set during a procedure the 35-year-old is going to undergo and the duration of his time out is not known yet.

The Turkish club stated:

"After the head collision in today's training, a fracture was detected in the facial bones of one of our players, Radamel Falcao, whose examinations were performed at our sponsor hospital Ulus Liv Hospital.

"The treatment of our player has been planned for this evening with a closed reduction intervention under anaesthesia."

Between the duo that collided with each other, Falcao’s condition is worse than Akturkoglu.

"

Kerem Akturkoglu, who did not encounter any problems during the examinations, will be kept under surveillance for precautionary purposes,"

the statement added.

The Colombia international has dealt with a lot of injuries this season, with only 14 appearances in the Super Lig in the 2020/21 season, meeting the target eight times.

Gala are sitting third on the Super Lig table; five points adrift of the current leaders

Besiktas
