Rose not happy with the referee’s decisions

Monchengladbach have their European dreams threatened as they settled on a draw with Hertha Berlin on Saturday.

The controversial point of the match came in the 13th minute when Gladbach’s goalkeeper was shown a red card after an incident which was decided Sommer had robbed Hertha striker Jhon Cordoba of a clear goal-scoring chance with a tactical foul.

"It was reviewed and confirmed red," Rose said of the play that cost him goalkeeper Yann Sommer, "I thus think that the sending off has some justification."

However, the German wasn’t happy with a 72nd-minute incident, where Lukas Klünter seemingly fouled Marcus Thuram in the penalty box while Ittrich allowed play to continue.

"As has been the case so often this season, we sit here and discuss," Rose said, adding "the referee certainly didn't have an easy game. It was very combative."
