Amad Diallo called up for Ivory Coast

The 18-year-old has been called up for international duty and may have his debut when the Ivory Coast get ready for qualifiers in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Manchester United

winger

Amad Diallo

could have his international debut this month as he has shown potential ever since he joined the Red Devils in January and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is playing him more regularly.

The teenager’s potentials have not gone unnoticed by Ivory Coast manager

Patrice Beaumelle

, who has called him up for the qualifiers.

The 18-year-old and Eric Bailly’s inclusion have been confirmed by United.

United stated:

"Coach Patrice Beaumelle has named Amad in a 30-man squad for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, with Bailly also included. We can confirm the centre-back is to travel to link up with the group."

Ivory Coast will get ready to face Niger from Group K on Friday and Amad is up for selection. Should he not be picked to feature on Friday, he may make his debut on March 30 when his country goes against Ethiopia.

Amad climbed off the bench for his first United outing in the Europa League battle against Real Sociedad on January 18. He made three more appearances ever since. Although he has yet to be in the starting XI, he has shown potential in dribbling and eye for goal when his side went against Milan.

The winger’s goal has seen him be the youngest non-British player to have met the target for United in Europe.
