Gvardiol had a great offer from Leeds before joining Leipzig

It is reported that Dynamo Zagreb's player was offer a lot of money from Leeds United during the summer transfer window.

Josko Gvardiol

 joined

RB Leipzig

with a £14.4m deal but he will stay in his current club,

Dynamo Zagreb

until July. He was heavily linked with

Leeds United

but eventually, it was the German side who won the battle. Leeds apparently made a great offer for Gyradiol but he decided to join RB Leipzig as it is believed that he is a future star for the club.

Gvardiol ultimately elected to ignore that, though and has explained why he made the decision in a recent chat with Index.

“Leeds’ offer was also very, very good,”

he said.

“But it was decided that Leipzig was a better option for the development of young players.

“An agreement was also reached that I could stay at Dinamo, so everything turned out great.

“I was under pressure while I was dealing with the transfer this summer. After I solved it, I don’t bother with any stories or what is being written.”
