Tottenham 1–0 Manchester City: The Spurs Steal the Show!

After Arsenal's surprising defeat to relegation-threatened Everton on Saturday, Man City visited Tottenham in the hope of closing the gap to the top of the Premier League table.

Meanwhile, Antonio Conte's side was eager to avenge the reverse fixture where they lost 4-2 to Man City at Etihad Stadium and avoid a league double to the Citizens, which last happened in the 2018-19 season. Manchester City had lost two of their last five away league games which equaled as much as they had lost in their previous 37 Premier League games.

Despite the Citizens' early dominance, it was the Spurs that scored the opener in the 15th minute through Harry Kane, assisted by Hojberg after he put the pressure on Lewis from a poor Akanji pass.

Despite chances from Haaland and Grealish, Tottenham held on to their goal as they saw Christian Romero sent off for a second yellow card in the 87th minute. With this victory, the Spurs moved on to the fifth place within one point of Newcastle United as Man City remains in the second place with 45 points.
